I'm biased of course, but my advice for the Saints and for teams like them that have a lot of irons in the fire during the trade period is to focus on winning the war. Let's see what the ins and outs are at the end of the trade period (perhaps even after the draft) and make a call then.
Obviously pick 58 is unders for Steven but if that and the salary cap relief is a vital piece in securing one of the other targets that you're expecting to be playing in round 1, it's a good thing, right?

People are forgetting that time the Cats gave St Kilda their former captain, 2 x b&f winner, AA and premiership player + Charlie Gardiner for a 6th round pick that they didn't use.
And Saints keep him and the salary cap hit that they can't wear.
They need to get his contract off the books, that's part of the leverage

Like Harley he probably suffers in retrospect from being really good when Geelong was pretty crap.
I wouldnt list harley as your poster for that point. Steven king. Ben graham and even kent kingsley are better examples.

Also an all australian starting ruckman. And was younger then steven at time of trade. Had injury issues in his final season but had a pretty good game in the grand final a week earlier.
