One game does not equate a season’s body of work. Kelly would be on around 20 Brownlow votes. He is clearly a more consistent footballer than Seb in playing at his peak.

I want what’s best for jack as I’m sure everyone does, and him leaving wouldn’t be the disaster it would have last year, but we need proper compensation. He’s been our best player for a good 5+ years and could easily play every game next year if things fall his way.

Geelong will need help with SC as STUV is on 900 large so will be fairly favourable.

Quiet frankly Tim Kelly has to be one of the most over rated players going around , i think everyone just loves the story and for all the hype about him he is tracking no better than our Seb Ross , anyone that gave two first rounders for him should be sacked immediately

I get all of this and obviously he loves the saints and his team mates but if his family has moved back towards Lorne and it’s the only way he gets to spend time with his kids what is he supposed to do ?
Do you even get days off in Afl these days ?
If he pleads that case to the club how can they possibly deny him and have him moping around the club . He won’t be good to anyone like that .
It might require some restraint from his management to get a decent deal for the saints. Hopefully they can play their cards a little bit close to their chest and get us a decent pick/player.

So Hannaberry comes straight back in after 3/4 with Sandy. Carlisle played a half and straight back in etc etc but Steven has to get 40 after hard tagged in game. High standards for Steven but not on others. That's called a biased view

Pretty sure he was more than ok this year when playing. Matter of fact doubt we win round one if he didn't play. He will play the moment he is deemed fit enough. Be surprised if it isn't this week.

if the rumors about Jack Steven wanting to be traded are true, we should indeed put higher standards on him playing in the firsts.

Why. Makes less sense than the other two. Maybe part of the reason of going to Geelong is finals. Only a small part but maybe a part. Our best chance of playing finals is with jack in the side. And secondly where has jack or his manager said he wants out. Until that happens he is entitled to play like everyone else. Even he says he wants out I would play him. The higher we finish the more hope of getting better players from other clubs
