I just told you how it was mischievous: Watts turned 19 in March 2010, Riewoldt not until October 2007. So Watts played the entire year as a 19-year-old, and Riewoldt as an 18-year-old. More precisely, as I already stated, Watts was seven months older in 2010 than Riewoldt was in any equivalent round in 2007. In 2008, Riewoldt was five months older than Watts was at the same stage of 2010. Not that difficult to understand I would have thought.

Now, what's Watts' biggest bag in the VFL?

Hilarious. Sorry, I thought we were having a serious football discussion, but it turns out you just want a fap session. All the players I mentioned have talent I would consider in the top 10-20% in the AFL. Whether they will all reach their potential is another matter, as it is for Watts. Martin and Cotchin are not unproven - they have proved they can take an AFL match by the scruff of the neck, they have proved they can take on and beat the best. I'd argue that if Watts gets anywhere near what Jack Riewoldt has already produced you should be very happy.

You reckon that these players have "talent I would consider in the top 10-20% in the AFL"

Morton age 22 games 12 last year
Connors age 22 games 14 last year
Griffiths age 19 games 5 last year
Taylor age 19 games 4 last year

In a side that is considered by most to be shit, these "star players of the future" could only managed to collectively get selected in a total of 33 out of a possible 88 games.

Yeah right.

hardly mischievous as they were both in their 19th year,

watts' biggest bag in his 7 or so vfl games is 4 from memory

martin and cotching are unproven, or would you be happy for them to perform at the standard they did this year for the whole of their careers?

their potential talent has not been proven, they are still no certainty to make it in the afl, like any other young player in the afl

if you are looking for a serious discussion bay 13 might not be the best place to look for that.... hmmm????

i wouldn't expect watts to ever kick 78 goals in a season as i see him as a roaming CHF, whereas JR has played primarily from the goal square

I am so glad Essendon got Hurley.

regarding Watts I still think he could average more pos then what he will get in goals for the season in 2011, just think he is not the real dangerous type of forward, he will run and so often get cheap pos around half forward and wing, and leave the hard work for Green and Jurrah.
that is what I think with what I have seen of him.

question to you melbourne supporters, How many poss around Half forward / wing are worth 5 marks 30m out?

... maybe you should wait to see him play as a key position forward before you try to judge how he would play as one?

because so far in his career he hasn't, simply because he isn't big enough.

but by you post structure it's clear that you may not have the broadest of minds

you mean unlike yourself and other Wet Toast supporters??? those who rate Nic 'Hackanui' and Chris 'complete-****ing *******' Masten... even Tom 'the next Judd' Swift and Luke 'the battler' Shuey

your list collectively reads like a who's who of the spud community

Have you started the poll yet? Or is something telling you its a bad idea?

no it's there, but you will have to wait for the mods to put the poll up, cos i made a mistake with the number of options

It will be a cold day in hell when a Richmond supporter will be taken seriously. The biggest hackjob team in the league. Come back when you play some finals footy.

At the moment you are the doorstop.
:o

I have a dream... that my four little children will one day post on a Bigfooty where they will not be judged by the color of their scarves but by the content of their posts.

Rob, you might be 62 but you post like a 12-year-old. Are you getting enough sleep? Exercise? Alzheimers is a growing risk at your age. Have a cup of green tea and a lie down old fella.

In the meantime I will address your concerns.

Morton is a super talent who went back to the VFL to learn our midfield system and get the fitness to play there in the AFL. You're only as good as your last game: 28 touches and three goals for Mitch. If you can't see his talent we might as well stop here.

Connors missed eight games for well-publicised reasons. Other than that he was an automatic selection. Again, his talent is obvious for anyone with an eye for it. Maybe your bi-focals need updating.

Griffiths played five games for five wins before injury ended his year. 198cm, as quick as Jack Watts, but bigger, stronger and more aggressive. Kicks the ball like Bill Brownless. Would have been a top-10 pick if not for injury worries. You'll wish you had him soon enough. By the way, both he and Taylor played the entire year as 18-year-olds. Taylor is a super talent. Cataracts?

As for "a side that is considered by most to be shit", the same "experts" proclaiming us to be worse than Fitzroy were by the end of the season raving about how exciting we are. Maybe you didn't hear that. I suggest a full medical check-up. Can't hurt. Eat some bran too, it might make you a little less cranky.

You do realise who you follow, don't you ? :o

The only decent mid you've got is a Victorian who'll likely move back to his home state due to the tragic death of his Sister. His single Mum won't want her only child on the other side of the country.

Bad luck fella. ;)

Btw, post some picks of that slag wife of yours. :thumbsu:

I predict an unfortunate instance of prime time Jack Watts camel toe at some point during the year.

I really couldn't care I'm interested in his AFL career not what he does at Casey when he's playing on the wing.

So he is about to explode into one of the greatest CHF's of the modern era who absolutely oozes talent but when he gets dropped to the VFL he gets put on the wing:rolleyes:

Is it as you said earlier ie: Watts having more talent in his little finger than Deledio, Cotchin, Martin, Foley, Jack R etc?

umm, please enlighten me as to WHERE THE **** i said that??

I'd probably be fitter than you sunshine I either ride 27 - 30 k's a night or rowe 10 k's or run 8, youreslf? The health's pretty good too don't drink don't smoke and generally look after myself, yourself? Wear glasses to read but apart from that have very good sight and from what I saw of Richmond last year they will probably improve to about near where they were then which was nowhere.

Morton was dropped because he was, and is a tosser so don't try to sugar coat it, Connors is over 23 now so if he is going to get to that 10% - 20% he better hurry. Griffiths averaged about 4 possessions last year so you would really have to concentrate to get any perspactive on whether he can kick or not. He only got 8 kicks in 5 games so we'll give the Brownless tag a bit of time shall we?

Jury is still out on Taylor done nothing to date to show that he has got what it takes bit like the rest of your mob apart from one or two.

Don't get too cocky I've been around long enough to see what happens to Richmond and their supporters.

Now off you go, get off your ass and do a bit of exercise, I'm going for a run.

Used to drink but stopped 22 years ago when i realised it was pointless; didn't like the hangovers all that much either. Only just started reading the Bay but it's quite funny at times and keeps me amused in the off season.

Some of the shit posted on here is just unbelievable and some poster's view of their team and its ability is laughable.

Brilliant sequel to your last expose on evolution.

I think we can safely say you've debunked those pesky evolutionists and creationism is once again alive and well.

Looking forward to your next work.

First time they played against each other Jamar destroyed NikNat both mentally and physically, poor little NikNat had to be rested the following week because of the punishment he received. That's according to your coach anyway.

NikNat's not a footballers bootlace he's an over hyped athlete that will have a great highlights clip and nothing else.
