i seriously dont know what player to get most excited about out of the three. All three could be all Australian next year if it clicks. shiiiiiit
Watts!

If he works out as planned we are in the GF as IF he plays to his potential he fits the exact role we've been lacking.

Apologies if already posted but found this interesting

Well a caveat emptor (smart arse for buyer beware) here but having said that, we know Watts (haha i'm such a wit ) in
front of us. Some seasoned posters on the Melb board saying in effect that unlike Viney and Jones, Jack Watts is not a player
who's going to kill himself for the ball.
Good imo, we have enough 'bulls' in the team as it is. Finesse and elite kicking is what we need as a balance.

Jeez im excited... another great pick up by the club, and even if he doesnt kick 50+ goals a season, the structure that can now happen up forward is exciting!

Yes, we need him in space with the ball, not at the bottom of a pile.

Trading Jack Watts could make Demons or come back to bite coach Simon Goodwin
It’s the second time in a week the suspicion is a rival got the better end of the stick in a trade deal with Melbourne.
Melbourne has paid for Watts when the fans didn’t want him to go — and haven’t really had it explained why he is going — and still got unders for the deal.
Here is a rolled gold promise: the money the Demons will pay Watts will be mentioned by someone in the media every single time he plays next year.
Melbourne fans will be in uproar if their forward line misfires next year and they sold off Watts for an ordinary draft pick — and paid Port Adelaide for the privilege.
More.. Paywall

Melbourne valued Watts as much as we valued Impey based on the picks both clubs were prepared to accept to let a player get out of their contract early. Lets see how much greater Watts ' output is compared to Impey's.

Yep
As to how we get the best out of Jack, I was encouraged by a post from elpirate who seems(?) in on 'the know' a day
or so ago. Talking about what we had in mind for the role Jack was slated to play in a modified gameplan

Yep and although apples and oranges I suspect/hope a needs based win/win all round.

A subsidised former #1 pick who satisfies a need of ours...I must be dreaming and if so, don't wake me up

Fun fact - rolled gold actually means inferior metal plated in gold as opposed to solid gold. So effectively a cheaper version of something.

Kevin Rudd used the phrase incorrectly a few years ago and it has somehow made its way into ourlexicon.
