Just wondering what the response would be ifthere was a video of a player in Amsterdam smoking a joint.

There would be many responses. None of them good.

If it was a Collingwood player McGuire would laugh off

"Get a grip of yourself it's legal there and decriminalised here. Seriously you guys
it's only a story coz Collingwood are involved. Oh and by the way was it marijuana?
You want to be careful what your inferring coz we as a club will defend our players when no wrong is proven"

Eddie is smart and also won't throw people under the bus if they're part of the club.

I don't waste a lot of time consuming football media for good reason - it's generally full of BS. So, often I don't sail in here either.

Seriously, you can't consider this latest Watts episode, remembering what we were all posting about here four of five months ago, and seeing him again - whilst in the employ of PAFC - snorting substances up his nose. Whether it's a legal substance or not is completely irrelevant.

Snorting substances up your nose is not a good look in anybody's book. None of us are taught to do it as children with good reason. It's a f*****g stupid thing to do, legal substance or not.

I cannot defend Watts for a moment on this one. The posts from a few months ago - at the time I guess I was prepared to think 'that was over in Melbourne and hopefully he's using this as a genuine second chance'. He clearly has not got that message.

I don't want this kind of personality around my football club. What Garry Lyon or Mark Robinson write means four fifths of bugger all to me. I'm a member of the PAFC and I care about my club. I don't want him there. If he's still undertaking this activity in another four months, what defence for him then?

Lol is this still news

Club needs to put this to bed

Media needs to shut up

Watts needs to confront his knockers
It's Adelaide and Koch is doing his job which by his own admission
"i'm a profession BS artist"*
He doesn't have the street smarts of McGuire in snuffing out spot fires.
In my earlier post McGuire may well have also said....

"young man with blood in his veins does silly thing, not only is it time to move on it's more than time
to think of the impact on the mental health of players when the media keep milking low hanging fruit"

If Koch used his national profile to clinch the PAFC chairmans position
then he needs to use it a lot smarter in and for the club's benefit.
Starting to wonder whether he has those smarts.

* a quote from Koch during a speech in China" ?

'Whether it's a legal substance or not is completely irrelevant.'

This is so wrong. Of course the nature of the substance matters.

Regardless of the way you are putting a substance into your body, the composition of the product is relevant.

This is like saying there shouldn't be vaccines, food or suppositories!

Everyone having a crack at Koch but I’m glad he’s come out and pretty much said how most of us is feeling. Finally someone addresses it!

CEO: zip nada, “buy tickets to the members convention it’s worth it”

Coach: nothing, do we have one? Has anyone seen Ken this year?? He seems to love front and centre when it’s all rainbows and good times but when the going gets tough Ken is nowhere to be seen.
Not in Kens survival playbook

Koch just wants to be seen to be standing against this sort of thing (the good corporate citizen Shtick) while simultaneously pandering to the pro-crow audience on 5AA.
IF the riot act needs to be read it should be done behind closed doors by Keith Thomas, not via this public grandstanding nonsense of Koch.
A one-off public “we’ve spoken to Jack, he’s not happy, he’s embarrassed, and he’s dealing with it” statement would probably suffice.
I agree with you .. Keith Thomas is the CEO and he should be dealing with it and not Koch.
Wonder if Koch spoke to KT or any of the players before he opened his big bloody mouth, geez.

Do people honestly think that Lycett has woken up in the morning and thought "Hey, I should talk to the media about Jack Watts"? Players get interviewed, journalists ask probing questions, players are forced to respond. The only person who can stop this shit is Jack Watts, by not ******* up again and doing what he's been paid to do for a change.
Perfect. He's a loser, get out of my club.
