No we should be telling him he has 12 months to save his career.

Sacking Watts doesn’t help us win a flag. A commited Watts in AA form (of which he has the ability to achieve) could very well help us win finals or a flag.

Unfortunately Melbourne fans were saying the same thing for the last 10 years !

Oh boy ...
He is a Port Adelaide Player, who did what a lot of other people did at the Oktoberfest which was totally legal.
It might not look good, but you cant be fined, sacked, or miss games for it.
It could bring in legal implications..

Did SPP actually do anything that got him suspended for 3 games?

Memory is hazy but SPP has the issues of breaking curfew, public drunkenness & being a dickhead to a young woman. There’s a well established precedent here, especially with regard to the treatment of women.

With Watts, this is new territory. No rules have been broken and even saying he brought the game into disrepute is a stretch as he partook in a perfectly legal activity at a well known festival. His behaviour was socially acceptable given the occasion.

It's effectively the cocaine equivalent of vaping I guess. Which just makes him a hardcore twat imo

in this context, saying it happened "last october" or "in october" is interchangable

there is no world where last october is october 2017 though, lol

Let's put it this way.

It's now Sunday, February 3. If I said "I did such and such last Sunday", it would mean the Sunday a week ago, right? Sunday, January 27.

But if I said "I did such and such on Saturday", it would mean yesterday - Saturday, February 2.

And if I said "I did such and such last Saturday", it would mean the Saturday a week and a day ago - Saturday, January 26.

Ergo, if I did something in October, 2018, I would say "I did such and such in October" if talking about it now.

And if I did something in October 2017, I would say "I did such and such last October" if talking about it now. The 'last' would be redundant if I was referring to October 2018, because there couldn't be any other October I was talking about in the past tense. It's not like a day of the week that happens multiple times in the space of a year - there's only one October.

It all depends on your reference point.

Of course, you can say it the way people are taking it too. That's why it would be better for them to put October 2018 if that's what they mean, or October 2017 if that's what they mean.

I'm just trusting what C4 has said Watts' manager has told the club.

You can just let a moron run around in the SANFL all year though.

Let's take a deep breath and get back to basic principles. Everyone deserves a presumption of innocence. Apparently the video looks bad but there is no actual evidence to rebut his explanation. The explanation is plausible. The presumption of innocence is not displaced.

If you were culpable for things that look bad, Tex Walker should be investigated for animal cruelty for keeping that slug under his nose.

There is nothing to see here- move on.
