Blight is being a bit of a knob here. Watts has been put under the microscope this year in terms of his off field behaviour and that might be good for him, and you guys, for the next few years. But to come out and say he might be the worst number one pick isn't doing anyone any favours.

Everyone is jumping on Watts now so that if and when he turns it around this year they can point to themselves as being the catalyst for making him wake up, even though he's already stated that he's made changes off field and is better for it. Blight's a self opinionated windbag, great footballer up there with the very best ever but I doubt
research is one of his strong points. I read his book and he's a vibe man, prone to roll the dice on hunches.
I rate his opinions with a grain of salt.
As to those dumping on Watts for being an idiot....... tick but it's clear on the vid that he's 3 sheets to the wind,
and who hasn't made mistakes in that state.
My issues are the damage he's done to the club and his ordinary stats in 2018.

Krooz and Scully have him covered imo, but he has played more good games than Boyd, who hasn't shown anything for two years, who bar two matches didn't show much before that, and Patterson can't stay on the park. I'd take Watts over both the later number 1s.

This is what I'm pissed off about. Watts polled the 20th highest number of votes last year by the coaches and Hartlett who played 5 games was 21st.

We played him for weeks on in when he contributed nothing. Too scared to drop him because it would make our list management team and coaches who wanted him, look stupid.

On 4 occassions when 20 or 21 of the 22 players got votes, Watts wasn't good enough to get 1 vote from 1 of theContribute on the field and no one would really give a **** what you do off it.
