He's not going to forgo a two year contract and a million dollars just because people think leaked text messages and a video is enough of a reason for him to retire.I’d accept that if the guy could play but he’s just not up to it

If he'd only screwed up once we'd just be talking about swimming and tit.Screw up once, you generally get a shot at redemption without the club looking bad. Screw up twice, it's all on you and the club gets a free hit because you are the bad guy after they backed you in.
Yep. He has a chance to be a leader in cultural change at the club. He's very well liked at the club, and he hasn't roped any of our players into his bad behaviour. However as with many people who get a wake up call, he's changed his lifestyle immensely. It would be a waste to get rid of him now as he hits the most footy focused time of his life.

Keeping in mind swimming and ****/Oktoberfest are essentially the same incident. I wouldn't be treating them separately. His behaviour changed after swimming and ****, and by all reports has been exemplary.
Any further wobbles on the cart and he's gone. That much is obvious.

pay him out and set him free
keeping him is dangerous to the culture of the squad
coasting is not OK

Yeah, lets kick him off the list and have his salary against our cap for the next few years when he's got something to offer.
From all reports he has changed. Let’s agree to disagree for the time being.I wouldn't be suggesting what I am, if I felt he had a net contribution that was positive
Redeem? FFS, he is not a boy and this isn't his second or third chance
Port's development will pay a massive price if we keep him................far beyond the sunk cost of a contract

Watts is hardly a beacon of charisma driving the culture of the team. I'm not sure exactly what damage you think he'll be doing.
He damaged my backwalls pretty bad last time I saw him.Theoretical damage like Watts, or literal damage like Wines?

In spite of his flaws he is one of the very few players in the team I trust with a set shot on goal. There are far worse players than Jack Watts playing AFL on a weekly basis.

I have been watching our replays, and I don't think people realise that Watt's set up a lot of goals with quick handballs.I’m quite confident that Watts is exactly what we need. I’d be telling our defenders to look for him as their first option coming out of defence. If he’s playing wing he’ll be on some shrimp, and the redaction of the hands in the back rule means he should be able to play from behind and use his height to mark the ball. Same goes for when he finds himself in the forward line with Dixon.
And if his opponent wants to play from behind, lead up to the ball and mark it uncontested.
Watts will have a successful year if he applies himself.

That's why I find it amusing when people say he's a slow decision maker.
If we play a fast style with guys like Broadbent and Hartlett running past into the forward line that he can dish the handball off to he'll come into his element.
I'm starting to get a clue who's **** they were
