I know the pain of missing out on gf is terrible but honestly some of you people need to take a bloody hard look at yourselves.

Jackals tear at weakened members of their packs as do wolves, its the law of the jungle and the savannah. Judas was a slimy bastard who sold out his friend and mentor.

There's been a bit of Jackal and Judas behaviour since the GF and I for one am ashamed to be associated with some here.

Tearing into players whose only sin was to play their hearts out, tearing into each other and taking your pain out on fellow supporters. It goes further back than the GF too, those who tore into fellow members over the coaching issue in the final weeks of the home and away did good work - for the bloodsucking media and our opponents. That wasn't the cause of our loss but it certainly didn't help.

Stop snapping at everyone in sight including and especially your fellow members and supporters.

We have a new coach and a recasting of goals coming up over the summer, the boys will be trying to set themselves up for a strong tilt at the flag this time next year.

The last thing a new coach needs is infighting and this includes the supporter base, that's me, you and the bloke who sat next to you at the G.

We gave it our best shot and come up short. The pain has been sharp and incisive. I'm over it now and I'm especially over this carping and sniping about stupid issues.

It's time to stand by the coach and get behind the players, we as supporters need to redouble our efforts and that won't be by indulging our tempers against each other.

Commit to side by side in name and deed. By all means disagree and debate the issues but keep the personal cr@p and player blaming out of it. We don't need it and I for one am point blank refusing to be drawn into it.

/end rant

Stop pretending to be upset about the result. To some it was more important for Buckley to take over than the club itself. Have another beer and continue your celebrations

Give it a rest Freddy you are so blinded by your hatred of anyone who doesn't happen to share your opinions on Malthouse that you are acting like an utter jerk.

you forgot the bit about how Jesus loves you.
Hmmm that's certainly rivetingly relevant BD.

Love how you use sarcasm as a means of communication, how about addressing the issues at hand?

Too hard??

Yeah I thought so, its harder to work forward than sit back in the pack belittling anyone who doesn't share your cynical disbelief isn't it?

It's also time for you to put up or shut up big man.

Point out one post ONE SINGLE POST where I backed Buckley over Malthouse, I've been totally non partisan with only the clubs and supporters best interest on my mind. You however see fit to throw unfounded accusations around with gay abandon.

It's human nature for people to become defensive when they feel vulnerable and as a Collingwood supporter I haven't felt this vulnerable in quite some time. So I won't sit here and take pot shots at people who feel the need to express their own grief in any which way and I'd hope that most level headed people would also be that way inclined.

The reinforcing point though is we can move on to bigger and better things next year and hopefully the pain of yesterdays loss acts as a spur for next year and beyond!

You think I'm taking pot shots do you?

Interesting

So taking pot shots at players and making personal attacks is fine if you are a little upset then?

You live in an interesting world SD

A bit of hypocrisy and a tad ironic too. Attacking fellow supporters because they aren't thinking the way you want them too.

If people want to bad mouth the players they have every right too, god knows I have this season and I have in the past. but I'm trying not to anymore. We did our best, clearly, we were great for 3 quarters and just seemed to run out of gas and the opposition were too strong this season.

I don't think our side is as talented as some supporters believed after last year, having said this I think it is still talented enough to play some very good football next season.

It'll be interesting to see how guys like Dawes, Maxwell, Didak and Wellingham respond after a long preseason under a new coach. It'll also be interesting to see how Beams, Sidebottom and Fasolo progress under Buckley. He has said before that he would like to get the ball into the hands of the younger guys more. Seems like he will play Beams and Sidebottom more permanently in the midfield. This can only be a good thing for the future.

I'm optimistic about this team and how we will go over the next five years. We need a young ruckman (Hampson) and a tagger (possibly Kane Cornes??) and then I think we will be fine.

Move on people. Everyone else will soon. Trade week, Spring Carnival, draft, cricket, A-League and Xmas will soon be here and presto, soon we'll be getting pumped for 2012 to start.

Yesterday hurt bad but its time to move on

Lol you'd think that after a night's sleep people will have calmed down and start being a bit more rational, guess not.

Don't doubt Collingwood or it's players. They all want a premiership and no doubt they will do their best to deliver one. This year just shows how hard it is to win a premiership, I mean there are now 17 other teams fighting for that ONE cup.

Your idol Mick left, you're quite welcome to follow suit.

Where on earth did I specifically say you took a pot shot? It was a general statement in regards to me, you and every other poster on here. Everyone's pissed off and dealing with it in their own way at the moment and biting at people like a wounded animal while claiming side by side is pretty damn rough.

Judas, incidentally, was just playing a role that had been forced upon him by fate and prophecy. He was nominated as the accuser by Jesus before the event and if he had not lagged on Jesus there would have been no crucifiction or resurrection and no churches full of gullible fools thinking Jesus was the son of God and not just some bloke with a few good ideas.

Add to that the fact that after going into the season as hot favourites we are entitled as supporters to question what went wrong. If in so doing we become Judas or jackal-like, then so be it. We are entitled to our opinion of the players, the game plan and the club, and if the OP don't like it, he has little understanding of human nature. We do not need people telling us what we can or cannot say about players who are paid a small fortune and live lives we would die for.

The OP thinks he is Jesus Christ playing peace maker to the jackals and Judases of the club. Collingwood football club can surely withstand a little criticism in the face of an unanticipated thrashing. This is a football club we follow, not some fragile string of glass lace liable to be shattered by the faintest stirrings of dissent.

Was not my idol but I did think he was the best man for the job and no change was necessary atm. I do think that the 'plan' cost a premiership but we should recover next year. Im sure you will sleep well knowing Bucks is at the helm next year - dont worry about what could have been this year though.

I really dont give a hoot who coaches us next year - the damage is done.

This is the worst thread I've read all year.

Everyone's entitled to throw questions to find out why we failed at the last point.

But we all just need to calm the f**k down.

Everyone take a week off from posting, and let's get back when the emotion of losing dies.

We're all upset, just take a few days to cool.

I'm nearly 40 and have seen 7 GF losses. If people want to question why we're always on the losing end of a GF they're more than entitled to. MM's GF record with us is worse than our historical record. I've had a gutful of it, it won't stop me signing up next year but surely people are entitled to vent.

If you think a clubs success is dependant on a BF lovefest you're kidding yourself. The club, its officials and players wouldn't even waste their time reading what gets posted on here.

Collingwood need to learn that GF's are hard to win and when they get in one, they bloody well should play it like it's their last game ever.
