Has he done anything violent in his years after footy? Has he withdrawn from society, tried to off himself, alienated those closest to him?
It's reaching to make such assumptions based on what are basically on stage performances, both on & off the field. You would need to spend time with bloke away from the spotlight to get a sense of what he's really like. There's nothing i've even seen of Jacko to suggest he has lost touch with reality, the opposite in fact as he's making (what I assume) is a decent living off his personality quirks. That suggests a firm grip on where he's at, what works & what doesn't.
Was a strange player, all arms and elbows and legs but deceptively skilled and agile. Trying to think of another more modern player I could compare him to......
For some reason I read your posts in Borat's voice.Mike Sheehan has an opinion before he asks a questions. Jak się masz!
I have simple philosophy ...never ask a question you either know the maser to or never ask a question you can google ...ask the Unknown, chenquieh

It means you've been taught where to take a shit and where not to.And do you reckon he was pleased he came up with "Toilet Trained AFL guy" ...
... whatever the **** that means.
It was all an act . Because Mike allowed him to get it off his chest he said he was gonna now let sleeping dogs lie . From this day forward I got nothing against you. . It was an actreminded me alot of Capper's interview except Warrick was taking the piss - Jackson actually seems to believe it.
Wow, a firm grip on where's he's at? I don't think he let Sheahan in on the act. Warwick Capper has an act, i'm not sure Jacko just switches it on and off as he pleases. Mental illness, like most physical illness, tends to impair the individual’s ability to act, aggressively or in any other way. Only a few such conditions have a significant potential to precipitate a violent act. Jacko's behaviour doesn't necessarily mean it will lead to acts of violence although by his own admission he was prone to do so while playing because "I was taught that way at Richmond'?Has he done anything violent in his years after footy? Has he withdrawn from society, tried to off himself, alienated those closest to him?

I just don't believe it was an act Mr keyboard analyst, i'm just expressing my opinion on what i witnessed in the interview. Jacko can be quite humourous, but overall he came across as a bitter and twisted human being with a mighty big grudge to bear... Mike Sheahan claims it wasn't set up, i see no reason to doubt him. His "act" needs a lot of work. He's not psychotic Mr keyboard psychiatrist and he's cleverer than most, he's been getting paid for 30 odd years for doing this act.
Ergo the 1971 Hawks Saints GF both one the best and worst GFs ever with several players willing to go the extra yard to win. It was indeed an era when what was acceptable was quite different to today. One shouldn't just call out Mathews. There were a plenty of 'em in all sides. So did everyone else.
It was a wild and dangerous time to play footy
I suspect his mind set is perfectly in tune with your average footy fan....if you can't see a screw loose then fine, leave it until it falls out altogether.Give us a spell, he’s hardly a “bonafide nutjob”. I don’t think you’re qualified to diagnose psychosis either.
He’s a quirky, blunt character who plays it up no-end, because that’s what he’s always done and it’s been his meal ticket. Add in his size and looks and it can become menacing.
And of course all of his stories are exaggerated no-end.
Maybe so, but Jacko was sacked by four clubs and none of the sackings were due to performance, he's a bonafide nutjob, it's helped him on the celebrity speaking circuit, but i suspect the politically correct agendas of the 21st century have stifled his income somewhat. The game did have characters in those days, but his views on Barassi were just nonsense. He should've listened to "Tiger" Crosswell who had more than his fair share of run ins with Barassi, yet he kept following him around from club to club? Jacko has definite Psychotic disorders which are severe mental disorders that cause abnormal thinking and perceptions. People with psychoses lose touch with reality. ( Bingo!)

I think what Jacko was trying to say about Lethal (in so many words) was that he doesn't understand why he's treated with such reverence and respect considering some of his dirty deeds, while Jacko is treated as a thug and a parriah.
Matthews' infamous hits on Neville Bruns, Barrie Robran and Barry Cable are among the most pathetic and gutless of cheap shots in footy history.
Mathews is not a deflection . Jacko mentioned him breaking Bruns jaw with that cowardly punch . And Sheahan said Jacko smacked Chris Langford twice . Gary Ayers and Chris Mew . Pathetic is your self inflated opinion of what should be said in a thread . My opinion is just as relevant as yours in fact more relevant you self indulged reviler. Side deflecting about drugs . Hawthorns backyard is tardy on that subject too if you wanna deflect there in another thread . Jacko mentioned hawthorn . "Your colours . The most boring team in the league and without the umpires help in the 80s hawthorn wouldnt have gone anywhere. They got everythink" his words verbatim . So hawthorn was a big part of his interview . But dont deflect to the Eagles because that is pathetic . Dont troll me and call me pathetic on this board you loser. How pathetic are you with that deflection?
I am guessing that you don't voluntarily throw up names like Kerr, Mainwaring, Cousins and Chick when drugs are discussed in any number of threads on that subject.
In case you weren't aware, this thread is about Jacko. Jacko is a ******* and a grub. Your opinions on Brereton and Matthews can be voiced in any of the many threads on this site about those two players.![]()
