This. Leigh Matthews is a weak dog. And he's literally running the lions into the ground as I type this. He's a man who got kissed on the dick - walked into brisbane at the same time the greatest ever midfield came together. Not a super coach. Just a lucky little man.
He's not psychotic Mr keyboard psychiatrist and he's cleverer than most, he's been getting paid for 30 odd years for doing this act.

Nuh I was laughingNice melt.
One of the best seen here in recent times.
Well he is from freomight be an act and he might be playing it up but he ain't clever. He had no real commentary just a bunch of bitterness about how the game owes him and how it could be better.
anyone who thought he had a point was projecting their own opinions because the guy didn't say one coherent and well thought out point in the whole interview. it was embarrassing.

Well he's clever enough to have got paid for acting the fool for three decades or so.....
They'd be wrong. It is a false dichotomy that players are either skillful or brutal. Some of the best have been both.I think most people assume that players with the ability of Matthews don't need or would be above thuggery.
Very nice.more issues than Reader's Digest !!!
reminded me alot of Capper's interview except Warrick was taking the piss - Jackson actually seems to believe it.
Devine was a nuisance dedicated to sanity. In Jacko's case, sanity, is getting people to see the world your way. Devine was appointed coach because he was cheap and the club was stony broke.I dont know if you could say that about the Geelong one - they had appointed Devine ( from nowhere - Paul Couch is on record as saying JD was hopeless ) - the 2nd game of the year Essendon flogged Geelong by about 100 points - Jacko kicked i think 4 goals ( not a bad effort from a team done by 100 ) after kicking 4 in the 1st game
Devine drops him - Jacko tells him to shove it
John Devine was in my opinion easily the worst coach in Geelongs history
Psychosis: A severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality. False beliefs (delusions): You strongly believe something is real, but it's not. Come on, you didn't see that in the interview? He really believes Mike Sheahan is the devil incarnate. Jacko is a psychiatrists dream....he was nuts back in the 80's, he 's even nuttier these days.He may be bitter and twisted but he isn't psychotic. Go back to whatever book you just read and read the bit about psychosis again.
Sounds like his behaviour has been pretty consistent throughout. The "act" started before there was an audience. But loved the story about his days at East Fremantle (I think that was it) when he took out his key forward teammate in training so he could take his spot
What Jacko just did was fully book his calendar with sportsman's nights for the next 5 years
You would think not but never underestimate how stupid Australians can be.I can imagine some like Kerry o'keefe making buck out of them but Jacko? Really?

You don't think he's just like he's always been?Wrong.
There is always an audience.
The smaller ones just hone the act for the bigger ones.
