I can see the point of an enforcer like Waters or Hodge who actually have some footy smarts but a young fringe player who has no positive impact on the play shouldn't be trying to trash talk anyone and be concentrating on keeping his career.

All of this talk about Nelson doing a job on Papley is laughable.
Papley had 17 possessions.

People trying to make a case for a guy who had 5 possessions and made 4 clangers
and saying he wasn't that bad because he got under people's skin is a sad reflection
of where we are as a club IMO.

He's also played over 30 games so it's not like he's a rookie FFS.

This team needs a hardnut like Nelly in the backline I hope Simmo keeps backing him in ..

Proof is in the pudding with Waters. Consistently over committed himself to contests, and his kicking selection wasn't exactly flash.

Nelson needs to lock down first, run and carry second. He's not going to be that third man type, or build attacks with long kicking. Not even a type comparison.
