I'm all for Nelson in the team - he's young and developing.
Yes lots of brain farts and poor disposal but he's shown enough glimpses and toughness to persist.
Confidence is the key for young Nelson.
Would rather back in Nelson than play Masten tbh.
Yes you did.... I'm starting to think he can't be played anymore as he's just a butcher of the highest order and will likely be delisted at season's end. Watching live you just tense when he goes near the ball and you expect bad things to happen. Masten however did seem to do quite a lot right watching him in person but not sure what you miss on TV.I made a huge mistake.
Would rather Cole in his position when he's fit. I still think Nelson can offer something, maybe could be a pressure half forward where he doesn't have to think so much? Worked for Nicoski, although he was a much better kick.
Nelson will never kick 41 goals in a season.
From memory he could also get his arms free when tackled.
Yeah he’s guilty of trying too hard, just like our senior players last yearBrings toughness, needs the game to slow down for him or stop trying to do too much.
he has his problems but given the lack of grunt and mongrel we have I see him growing into a role - every team needs oneI would use this year to give him 20+ games to see if he is worth persisting with. He has shown before he is capable enough to be a best 22 player. I feel he trys to do too much because the two times he was showing some from in 2015 and 2017 he got injured and missed a fair few weeks and found it hard to break back into the side. They need to sit him and simplify his role. They should use him as a mid or a HFF and just run with the role.
I agree. if we wanted someone "tough" who can dictate to opponents, why not see if Danny Green wants to join? I have no idea if he can kick or mark a footy, but seeing as i know Nelson cant do these things, i really cant see any negatives with signing Danny Green.Meh I've said it before but outside of one game last year he's basically been the same player his whole time with us. Clanger prone and a headless chook. I dont care how "tough" he is I would laugh back at him if I were out there because he cant football.
