Just heard on SEN news, 99% sure it was Daniel Jacksons name mentioned for striking Kerr. Got 1 week can accept reprimand for early plea.

I didnt see it because TV wasnt in widescreen should he fight it?

Re: Jackson Sighted

About time

How long has it been since a tiger got suspended

I'm not saying they all should be doing silly things on the field
But to me it was yet another indicator of our insipid character that no one has been suspended for quite some time

Re: Jackson Sighted

couldn't agree more. don't really want to see any of them suspended but a bit more mongrel is definitely welcome IMO.

hislop seems to hit someone every other week

Lol just had a look at it.

Apparently a hip and shoulder can get you cited these days. Was a standard incident you see throughout a game that is a free kick, not a reportable incident.

But they've singled him out.

Token gesture in what is becoming "Kerrgate"

Andrew Demetriou to one of his cronies ..."What the hell ... if we are going to make an example it may as well be Richmond" ... (big belly laughs all round)

Hmm could that be the hip and shoulder after Kerr got rid of the ball, and promptly fell to ground like a sack of spuds? It had Simon Overland (Mathew Nicholls) all excited, paying a down the field free kick.

Seriously I was watching the whole time, there was NOTHING in it, a little bump and Kerr (didn't know who the player at the time was) really made the most of it.

I could be thinking of another incident but if its the one im thinking of, thats BS (although like others have mentioned its kind of reassuring that we finally have a player reported).

I'm yet to see the footage, but seriously.. going by the guidelines how is it reportable or how isn't there 1,000 reports each week?

Jack Riewoldt, Richmond, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence against Daniel Kerr, West Coast, during the first quarter of Saturday’s Round 12 match between Richmond and West Coast, played at Docklands on Saturday June 13, 2009.

In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.
ok... so a player can no longer bump into another player? Even with "low impact" and contact only to their body?

Can someone remind me ho many weeks the Carlton player got who in round 1 bumped into Cousins who didn't know the contact was coming when the ball wasn't anywhere near him? Not even looked at?
