I would be very happy with that. I love Surjan.



A lot of people underrate Minson. He is a very good tap ruckman (just has to work on his taps to advantage) and he can go forward. With Port's lowish ruck stocks, I would think they would be interested in that trade. Minson is the perfect age for a ruckman atm as well.

I do admit we may have to add in something else as well though.

What would a Port supporter suggest they would want from us for Surjan?

The "troll" comment was directed more to the fact that Minson once decided to bring up Kane's son's illness in-game trying to trash talk him. He wouldn't be welcome at Port.

That's too heavily favoured for West Coast. A quality player and a priority pick. Port Adelaide wouldn't do that.

Perhaps Surjan + Port's second rounder for Ebert + West Coast's second rounder. That seems more reasonable.

We'd want pick 4 for Ebert.

It seems unfortunate that most supporters get stuck in the beginner level EA Sports realm of wheeling and dealing to the detriment of real world scenarios that would actually occur.

Not really. If Port want Ebert, we'd be asking for pick 4 (presumably they don't want to give up a Hartlett or a Boak. If they think that's unreasonable then they can chase someone else. It's pretty simple.

Not a flying chance. Ebert's improvement has been dramatic the past 2 months, but he's not worth pick 4. West Coast might ask the question to gauge interest and set the market, but Port Adelaide would surely laugh it off and move on to the next option.

Pick 4 would be pulling Port Adelaide's pants down and be a massive coup for West Coast. It's something you'd reserve for a match winner like Luke Shuey.

The fact that Port would probably never give up pick 4 for a guy like Ebert is kind of my point.

WC rate him that highly, that if Port want him, they'd need to be prepared to pay over the odds.

I personally haven't seen anything public that makes me think WCE rate him highly: He's been dropped, played at HFF, starting sub / subbed and is not heavily featured in media or WCE promotions. Most poignantly he wasn't offered a contract at the start of the season or to date (as is my understanding).

Not saying that the inner sanctum don't value him but it's not on display publicly.
