Yes he is a decent interceptor, just still lacking some of the IQ that Weitering has but it will come in time. Has Grimes and Astbury to study and learn off.

I'd take Balta if given the choice at the Lions, more weapons and scope for improvement being 2 years younger.

I think Weitering is better now but I think Balta has the scope to develop into the better player.

I'd like to think he will given his current trajectory but it's all about his potential and how much he wants it. Weitering is a safe bet, with Balta you're taking the punt.
