Maybe you should take his poster off your wall and realise he doesn't always get what he wants.

Brock McLean for pick 11 - what an absolute, gold-standard crackup! :D:thumbsu:

McLean is a good player, good leader and filled a deficiency on our list. If you're trolling an injury, that once again shows your lack of class and you should get ready for a lengthy ban.

It'd be worse if we used first round picks on Sellar, Meeson, Watts and Pfeiffer. Come to think of it, the smartest thing you guys could do is trade that pick to a club that knows how to use it properly.

Still too early too call IMO.

Brock was picked up to help Judd out. Considering Brock was out for pretty much the whole season and Judd still won the brownlow. Imagine how much better Judd can be if Brock gets fit.

Agreed however casting my mind back to last year if brock mclean was in the draft would anyone of picked him up with a pick before 20?

I doubt it given Ball made it to 30

Look lets agree the boys stuffed that up as no team would of picked him up for a pick inside the top 20

So Tapscott and Griffiths would have been better selections than Mclean?

They're already injured.

Guys built like Tapscott usually break down with injuries and develop OP.

Griffiths is a marking forward who has already had both shoulders reconstructed.

You forgot to put the tar in your username.

You're not better than that.

Not saying those guys would or wouldn't be better players I just dont think we needed to offer the pick we did as I doubt anyteam would of trumped our second round selection.

L Jetta may have been a handy pick up :)

Ball made it to 30 because you had to pay him $500k per year.
He also refused to talk to other clubs. Him and Bradshaw should've copped a small whack from the AFL for the way they acted I think. AFL were a bit too scared of free agency to show any balls though.

Sorry Big Red but I found this quite humorous.

Classic. You talk about trolling and class, and you've spent most of the last week personally abusing me, along with Crows players.

Class is something you know nothing about.

No, but it was well covered in the news.

Oh yeah, they never get anything wrong

Wow! Comparing Jacobs to Fevola, Jolly and Croad...and trying to call him PROVEN!

Cracking laughs! :D

I wasn't comparing Jacobs to Fevola, Jolly or Croad. my point was first round picks aren't guaranteed stars otherwise clubs would never trade them.

As I said - that's your opinion, not reality. Drafts don't work like that. There is not an agreed list of the most talented.

Keep screaming though.

Of course there's no agreed list of the most talented, but its obvious which players are going to be taken early compared to players that aren't. The top picks are usually set every year and once the second round starts, they can be anything.

But anyway yeah, I'm not screaming about anything. You're the one coming here to argue with us so it must be getting to you a bit more than it is to me.

Funny, you quote with desperation everything they say about Carlton playing "hardball".

You think the media just decided to lie about Mumford being injured?

You are sad.

That point doesn't relate to what you said.

Not at all. Look at your desperation and screaming. You can't hack that you have no clue about trading.

Unfortunately you can't force someone to talk to a club.

Does it stop another club still drafting them?

If a player steps onto that ground they are presumed to be fit. No excuse.

Did or or did he not absolutely smack Mumford?
Mumford had a good game the following week against the Bulldogs anyway, can't have been too injured. The injury excuse is just convenient for Crows supporters.

How? It doesn't. A club can call out that player's name anytime they like. While that process is not interfered with the process isn't tampered with.

What if 15 clubs wanted to talk to him? Expect him to fly around the country for nothing. Our democracy says we can talk to whoever we like. Even the AFL would recognise that.

You live in dream land.

No real professional organisation hires someone without interviewing them, particularly if that person refused to be interviewed. It's not that hard to figure out champ.

I live in dreamland???...that's funny! In our society You do not have to talk to someone in our society. You cannot be forced. That you're not understanding.

Fact is they still have the choice of whether to draft him. That choice is not interfered with. They've seen the player play a pile of games, they know what they're getting. We knew Ball and Bradshaw inside out by years of watching them play. Not like any other organisation where you don't know the person. The main "interview" would be on the ground.

If Goddard put himself in the Draft, refused to talk to us, for example, but we had first pick would we pass him up because he didn't? No chance.

Extreme example but you get my point.

I'm not saying they lied,I'm saying that the news could have got it wrong which believe it or not is a possibility.

LOL is that all you can say now? Of course it relates to what I was saying, I said that first rounders aren't guaranteed stars and then I gave a few examples off the top of my head of clubs that traded first rounders for players. Do you really think Brisbane would have given up pick 12 and Henderson if they KNEW that pick 12 was going to be a star? Of course not! why would they trade a 10 year plus star for a guy who only has a couple of years left?

You just don't have a clue.

Many teams could have drafted Ball last year, but they didnt. Why do you think? Essendon was hot for him but he refused to speak to them, they passed on him twice before the Pies picked him? Why do you think? Because what refusing to be interviewed by Essendon told them is that perhaps if they drafted him he would exercise his right to stand out of football such was his determination to get to the pies. No club, repeat slowly so you understand it, no club will risk wasting a pick on a player that does not want to be there and may well stand out of football to make that point so what exactly is it that you are arguing? That we live in a democracy?
