What I don't understand is why your club is already having huge salary cap pressure despite having a very average list with a C-grade ruck and a terrible midfields\.
:)

Because you have to pay 92.5% of the salary cap . When you bottom out as the young kids you draft early get better and demand more it gets eaten away quickly.

Jacobs and Grigg to PSD ?

Crows are on track to cave and cough up pick 14 shortly. Already looking shaky. there'll be another 2 days of froth and bubble, and hourly media statements from their increasingly worried officials. Not sure what the Grigg situation is. If he went into the PSD, he'd probably end up at the Weagles, because they're desperate for midfielders, and he said he wouldn't mind going there, so Bleakmond will have to cough up something other than a huge contract. There's still an outside chance he'll stay as well. Really not too bothered either way, or what we get for him. Both these players are fringe players BTW... so their absence doesn't weaken our starting 22 in the slightest.

Hey parrot I'll give you the benefit of the doubt , that you don't have the intelligence level of your user name .
I was merely suggesting that it is appearing more likely that both these players may look to chance their luck in the PSD . Whether you like the players or not I'd suggest it ain't great for a club that players that they entered into a trade period hoping to gain something for, or at worst as you suggest re-sign, would prefer to take the risk of not getting picked up then re-sign with your club, no malice intended !!
Years of development doesn't come cheap and for it to be completely lost isn't great for any club !

It is ok, the username is a good reflection of her posting.

Well, as I pointed out, the reality of the situation is both players aren't in our best 22, so there'll be no impact whatever happens. If they can't be in our best 22, it makes more sense to free up the spots for players who potentially can. There's no "loss" losing players who'd probably play much of the year in the Bullants. Our "problem" is that our player development is so good, we've ended up with surplus ruck and midfielder stocks who would walk into many other starting 22's. These players that are leaving don't have the confidence of being able to displace players ahead of them. In Griggs case, it's more about cash, with certainty of an easy game and less pressure/expectation as a nice little bonus.

Anyway, we'll still toy with the Crows and Tiges and make them sweat a little. It's all part of the trading game. Just a shame you don't have PSD pick 1 eh. Would make it a LOT easier. The crows are in an even worse situation - they have multiple teams ahead of them in the PSD who'll snap up Jacobs in a heartbeat, and their ruck situation is basically in crisis right now. This is called leverage..... we do have some. Also nice having Greg Swann and Icke on your side.

That's a very interesting view re development , in particular midfield, given your best marque player came after being developed elsewhere and you guys appeared to severly over pay for midfielder Brock McLean who couldn't get a game with a lowly placed Melbourne the previous year .
I don't reckon development specialist Alan Richardson has been recruited for no reason ?
Anyway enjoy your evening ?

Haha! simpleminded, embarrassing! We would have to be one of the most professional Clubs in the AFL.. Your club is the joke of the League..in fact such a joke everyone is falling over each other trying to get out of the place.

LOL

How ironic that you live in Adelaide and come up with this

You'll go to sleep a Richmond supporter and wake up a Richmond supporter. I hope your dreams are better than your reality

If you do your research you will most likely find the games McLean missed at Melbourne were due to injury, not due to form (this was also the case when Melbourne played finals during McLean's years there).

lol. you're sounding a little bitter aren't you. Look, you'll likely get Grigg IF you pay him that silly 1 mill $ + McMahon-like-contract, and if you cough up a draft pick to stop him going to the Weagles in the PSD. Will you get him in the PSD otherwise....... well, that's a little risky. Maybe. The fact that Richmond came our hard with the cheque book (+/- Brown Paper bags?) means they are absolutely desperate to get Grigg, so they might not take the PSD risk. I don't really care either way, but it's a lot of fun watching the Tiges sweat over this trade. If your list management and player development wasn't so diabolically bad, you wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

:)

Do you have a learning difficulty?

Or are you just an inbred South Australian bogan?

I didn't say anything about Jacobs staying because he tweeted that he was back in Australia.
No and no, but I think you might have a sarcasm difficulty.
