Yes. So GC give us 2 first round picks and a different player. Or 2 first rounders and a second.

Plus in your earlier deal Hawks get Omera and a first rounder! AHHHHH for Hill?

DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
They then give the 1st rounder to freo

Jesus you're not bright are you

Allow me:
Gold Coast:
Gain - Fyfe
Lose - Jaeger and a 1st round pick

Hawks:
Gain - Jaegar
Lose: Hill and a 1st round pick

Freo:
Lose - Fyfe
Gain: Hill and TWO 1st round picks

Now go away, write it down on your chalkboard and see if it makes sense

I understood what you probably meant to say, but go away and read your first post 'Jaegar and their first round to hawks'

So even if Hawks on trade the first (which doesn't make sense because GC could just offer Freo 2 firsts) Hawks don't lose a first pick? Yes I have checked and yes I am right.

In fact if going by exactly what you wrote

GC
lose Omeara and pick 4 (that's their first pick)
gain Fyfe

Hawks
lose Hill and pick 14 (that's currently their first)
gain Omeara and pick 4 (that's what you said)

Freo
Lose Fyfe
Gain Hill Hawks first (pick 14) and GC first (which would now be 9)

EVEN if I'm not too bright and made assumptions in that Hawks trade pick 4 to us (once again why? as GC could just give it to us) that still leaves Hawks with their first rounder (pick 14)

Unless of course you stuffed up what you meant.

That silent moment when the poster realises that he did in fact stuff up what he meant.

To pry Fyfe

It would take

Hawks
Gain Omera
Lose Hill and pick 14

GC
Gain Fyfe
Lose Omera pick 4 and 9

Freo Gain 4, 9, 14 and Hill
Lose Fyfe

Hawks overpaying for Omeara
GC overpaying for Fyfe
Fremantle the big winners BUT that's what it would take.

Fair deal. What would it take for the Saints to get amongst some O'Meara action?

Hawks dont/wont have pick 14

And JOM not worth our first and hill.

With bombers winning today gc can take whatever crap we offer

Who has it then? I'm assuming GWS.

If that's the case JOM to Hawks would definitely require a player, if Hawks want him. If it is a 3 way trade it wouldn't involve Fyfe.

I agree its not ideal to lose Fyfe

but not sure its that bad a deal

they get two 1st round picks and Brad Hill

Assuming Fyfe leaves (and I highly doubt that would happen unless Gold Coast offered him absurd money - which they ARE able to) then two 1st round picks is about the best they are going to get I'd have thought

Fyfe won't, unless the deal is great for Freo and Fyfe. Anyway, Fyfe wants to win.

Nor at GC. If Fyfe wants to leave he will wait till next year.
This is why if I were the club I'd put some serious heat on him. Make him sign before this trade period or put him up for trade.

We could receive 2 picks inside 10 and a decent player this year or let free agency play its card next year where we could get stuff all in comparison.

The Fyfe situation seems weird to me. He sound like he loves Fremantle. He also appears driven to get success. Ross has a good relationship with Fyfe, but the playing group less so.

He should have been captain, so that lack of his teammates backing him and so/so opportunity could lead to him exiting the club. But ideally he would have been a career player at Freo. Somewhere something went wrong.

Also, don't put on too much pressure. Fremantle still have a great midfield. Mundy, Fyfe, Neale and Bennell is as good as any. Throw in Weller and there is depth.

Gameplan, drive from defence, despite some talented young talls and KPF are the major issue which can all be fixed. I guess I rate Fremantle higher than most. So the club shouldn't push him to leave, instead do their best to play well.

How's Hawthorn going to get JOM & Tom Mitchell?
It will be a stretch but assuming both nominate Hawks, Tom Mitchell will cost us this years 1st and a 2nd out of Hill trade. JOM will cost us next years 1st and one of our previous 1st rounders.

Many will lose their mind if we netted both.

Would be highly unlikely.

I think you'll get only one of them. It's extremely rare to see clubs nab two highly rated players in the one trade period. The Pies getting Treloar & Aish was difficult enough let alone getting JOM & Mitchell. Losing Hill gives you a bit more to play with though.
