Also doesn't mention the fact that O'Meara runs a 2.80 20 metre sprint, compared to De Goey's 3.01, making him one of the absolute fastest inside mids in the comp (if his body gets back to 100%), and giving him a much a higher ceiling going forward.

De Goey is a vanilla athlete whose game is built around attacking the ball like a bull at the gate. O'Meara is just as adept at winning the contested ball, but also boasts one of the best athletic profiles in the game. As far as I'm aware his sprint, agility and vertical jump results were all top 1% in the comp type stuff (or not far off it).
Remains to be seen if any of that is still true given his knee issues.

Yup I'm well aware. Nadal has had a lot of success since he similarly ruptured his patella tendon. I researched it a while back. I think he's gone on to win 4-5 grand slam events since the operation. His tendonitis is also very similar to O'Meara's. I think the fact Nadel has managed his knees so well and had a lot of success gives O'Meara some hope.
There aren't 4 blokes trying to break Nadal's legs whilst he lines up a crosscourt backhand!

Ok how's this one.

Essendon:

In - O'Meara
Out - PSD pick 1

Gold Coast:

In - PSD pick 3
Out - PSD pick 4, O'Meara

Fair on both parties I think.
Can you trade PSD picks? If he is going to get to the PSD why would your club trade anything, why not just draft him Nick Stevens style!
