Not even GWS with their extended roster would want Raines. Polkinghorne and roughly pick 30 will not get the job done.
 
at this rate his going to be too expensive...atm his value is based on his potential, but potential that might not be fullfilled.

Then the difference between pick 1/2/3 in value
 
Would love it if Melbourne offered their compo picks for Jag O'Meara. Would be win/win IMO. However I don't see it happening sadly

To be fair I can see Melbourne holding their compo picks and not using any this if they were to keep them
 
I think grabbing one off Collingwood's 22 - 25 players and trying to bundle something up just look what Danny Stanley did for GC

Goldsack - rate him highly but its very hardv to find a spot for him with Maxwell taking almost his spot plus having Brown, Reid, Tarrant, Toovey, Obrien, all playing

Macaffer - Blokes a strong unit and could kick 40 goals on the HFF i believe he is in our best 22 but might have his nose out off joint not getting games this year because off fitness

Blair - Is best 22 atm but for how long and seems to play good football in the midfield i think he is being played out of place in the FP

They are just a couple at the moment and with our first rounder should get a job done if he wanted to come to Collingwood

Your first rounder is worth bugger all to GWS. The only picks they'll be after are compensation picks and maybe GC's pick 4.

Fringe players aren't going to get the job done, either. Even if they are premiership fringe players.

Also, this isn't like a normal trade. It doesn't matter where Jaeger wants to go. GWS have no reason to look after him. They'll take the best offer and it won't matter to them which part of the country he's off to.

All these blokes would be getting games at every club expect Geelong
 
It'll never happen but:

Brett Deledio + Pick 14 + Angus Graham
for
Mini-draft pick 1 + Pick 5 (Billy Longer)

I could live with losing Deledio for that, and you can have Graham as a placeholder ruck for free.

Doesn't mean they would be any good though. Some fringe players thrive when given more opportunity, others struggle without the support of a strong team.
 
Hey guys, good luck for next year, for what its worth, your signings are are so much better compared to GC, very smart picking up quality matures as player/coaches to nurse the kids through the first few years.

I have a question about the MINI DRAFT. I hope someone can answer.
Does anyone know who's going to be in the short list of the MINI draft? I just want to do some research so I know whats going on when the time comes. O'Meara will be No 1 yes? Who else will be involved? Cheers.

If we can get Wingard at pick 6 (which is a chance) then no. I'd rather have Wingard, who is a local lad > O'Meara. But getting rid of Kane Cornes would be a good trade for us.
 
O'meara is worth around pick 10 in this years draft! Still along way from playing his first game of AFL footy, so has to lose some value due to this fact.
The other three picks would be valued around the picks 10-22 range.
If GWS was after players then it would be mature(22-25) with an instant impact or an upside. e.g.-Connors, Rohan, Dangerfield, etc.
I don't think any are worth player and picks, unless they are fringe players.
 
I haven't gone through this whole thread, but would you guys be interested in Craig Moller. A 200+cm athletic ruckman who is from NSW. We could throw Kepler into the deal as well. We don't have anything else that would get the job done
