One problem with that clinic- no mention of knee replacements.[/QUOTE]
that's strange, you seemed so offended by any mention of O'Meara and The Saga earlier. To the extent you were boasting "taking apart" posters that dared discuss it, ****ing lol at that btwOne problem with that clinic- no mention of knee replacements.
Maybe this place could help:

lurking like a boss, let me tell youMine was banter - yours was like TOTALLY serious or something
You love to lurk around our parts don't you?
I also very occasionally say nice things on our board about Lance Uppercut - otherwise known as the no-good-celebrator of injured young hopefuls

The Jaegar thread is actually pretty entertaining. Wouldn't be surprised if you get most of your material from some of the whiny Hawthorn posters over there who were, incidentally, many of the same posters who annually predicted doom and gloom at the start of each premiership year.lurking like a boss, let me tell you
i'm way ore open to the idea that another factor has potentially caused both injuries - Ancient Tiger posited the same argument on our board. It seems there are some decent physio minds in this thread, so I'm sure they could shed more light...
But in a thread where it's suggested lower back stiffness has caused JOM's patella tendon issues, how can anyone here argue with confidence that his new patella bone injury is unrealated or completely different to the tendon injury (or previous surgery's on that part of the knee).
Laughable really.
I liked this post and yet admit I have played a part...Checking in to see if this argument has gone anywhere - nope.
Shame, as the OP by sven_inc was a super bit of insight and it's descended down the regular Bigfooty rabbit-hole
Both sides of the argument are to be blame as well, before anyone accuses me of "Hawthorn bias"
Yep, and unfortunately you only get so many goes at fixing a knee before decisions need to be made about future quality of life. Coon dog comes to mind.Bloody shame to see such a good footballer brought down by an injury such as this.
Could have been anything but sounds like he's in a fair bit of strife and the Hawks have pulled the wrong rein
Wipe off the froth and have a lie down bro.
You are too eager.
I am petty and very jealous of Hawthorn's success at the expense of my team so I hope Jaegar becomes a very expensive paperweight and it leads to the Hawks spending decades in the wilderness. Am I doing it right?
I liked the same post because flattery gets you everywhere with me.I liked this post and yet admit I have played a part...
I couldn't see a Jaeger specific thread but if ive missed something obvious please shift this post.
I've posted this on our Hawks Jaeger thread already but hopefully everyone's ok with me re-hashing it here.
Out in the real world I'm a Physio. I've been thinking for a while about doing a piece on Jaeger's knee particularly because his issues squarely frame something I've been finding a lot clinically with my patients.
As a bit of background, I'm really interested in getting to the bottom of why things are the way they are. My job allows me to peek behind the curtain of all sorts of athletes and pick up on patterns that lead to certain injuries and dysfunction. And with that I think I've been able to uncover some things the medical industry as a whole aren't quite aware of - AFL medicos included - in regards to what Jaeger's gone through pre-rupture. I think it may have some really important ramifications going forward in a broader sense.
I mentioned on our board that I know all this can sound a bit egotistical, but if you're interested have a read of my poorly cobbled together ramblings and feel free to share it around.
I'm keen to get this out there into the world but figured I'd post it here to get a sense of what the masses think - beyond my felow Hawks supporters.
I mention it at the end, but I see these issues far too often for them not to be viable and I'd love the Hawks to get wind of it. But in the much more likely event they don't - I hope that it might help those dealing with the issue.
Anyway, here's the link: http://www.peninsulaphysio.com.au/blog/jaeger-omeara-patella-tendonopathy/
Go Hawks.

Okay. Thanks for that. Remind me of all those September highlights ANY Gold Coast team has experiencedWow, those tears sure are extra salty.
You were a power on the back of bottoming out and good drafting and player development.
You won't be seen in September for a while with no draft picks
So true.Yep, and unfortunately you only get so many goes at fixing a knee before decisions need to be made about future quality of life. Coon dog comes to mind.
lol, the idea that you think Hawthorn should be exempt from criticism because the subject matter is an injured player is just remarkableShould have made specific reference to the team and/or supporters. That way you couldnt get in trouble for injury trolling.
Mods have been very clear on this. You can say whatever you want about an injured player as long as it is directed at the team and / or supporters.
this, however, is taking it too far I would have thoughtJaeger O'Gumbleton
I reckon Jaegar would get his back up after reading this thread.... literally and figuratively ...I liked the same post because flattery gets you everywhere with me.
Did his hammy in the other seasons though?
The point is that there's no evidence that the Hawthorn medical staff are any better or worse than the medical staff of other clubs.
But if O'Meara went there for the myth, then I suppose spruiking the myth has served its purpose. Although that type of myth would tend to attract the chronically injured such as O'Rourke, O'Meara etc.
They only talk about the success stories and ignore the alternative views. That's how myths (or cults or religions) are formed.lol, the idea that you think Hawthorn should be exempt from criticism because the subject matter is an injured player is just remarkable
I know it's hard dealing with the Dons resuming their powerhouse of the league label after having everything thrown at them during the last 4 years, but hopefully you'll get over it one day
