Jaeger O'Meara

Sounding like a GCS supporter now.... they just need to have him 100% right for next preseason and see how he goes but it's pretty worrying already
no because he has done more rehab than everyone else before coming back

One of those blokes who seems to get better and better every game he misses.

Thought they were getting a Jaguar F-Type and instead got a Mazda 121.

Ceiling is probably at a B- player when its all said and done. Feel kinda bad for the Hawks really, got played.

The patella isn't the same part of the knee as the patella tendon.

No more than your acl is the same part of your leg as your thigh bone.

This from the guy who supports a club that managed to turn two first rounders in a great draft into Matt Scharenberg and Nathan Freeman? If that wasn't enough, you guys thought "Crap, we managed to pull two of the duds from that top 10 when we could have pulled all 3" and traded in James Aish two years later.

Didn't realise any of them were destroying our cap space? Also take a look at Scharenberg's stats vs O'Meara's, bloke has played 1/4 of the games yet manages to be better statistically (and isn't sexually assaulting our cap room).

Better statistically? Uh. What stats?

I heard his knees would never repair, and that this week was actually a final good-bye to AFL footy.

Sad if true.

I heard you went to a restaurant and ate all the food in the restaurant, and they had to close the restaurant.

Or it may have been Jaeger ...

20.4 Disposals, 8.0 marks, 74.0% DE, 2.2 clangers, 246.0 m per game, 78.8 Avg Fantasy Score
21.8 Disposals, 2.8 Marks, 65.1% DE, 4.2 clangers, 159.6 m per game, 67.5 Avg Fantasy Score

Only major stat he beats him in is disposals and the bloke plays in defense....

Good luck with Scharenberg

Do you think if he had another major knee issue in the next 12 months would end his career?

You'd have to say there's a solid chance. Patella Ligament injuries are a lot worse than ACLs and notoriously difficult to recover from, if he did it again it'd be severely weak and shortened. He'd have a Leon Cameron limp by 40.

Clarko won't even give a club legend like Gibbo a farewell game, I doubt he'd throw one to some guy who's been at the club for 5 minutes and took all our draft picks.

I get that you are joking but Gibbo ruled himself out much like Goo in 2012

Chris Mayne likes this.

Yep, he spent 8 weeks in rehab and then dominated his first game back at vfl getting 30 touches and 3 goals over 3 qtrs just so he could have a farewell game. You're a disgrace.

What you don't think GIbbo who has been a team player his whole time at Hawthorn wouldn't make that call?

I'm sure he made the call, as the great team man he is, but probably knowing he probably wouldn't get it. Anyway, separate discussion...

This is funny, considering O'Meara was a superstar-gun-champion when he was still at the Suns, coming back via the NEAFL and possibly looking to leave....

Then he announces he wants out and despite the number of posters claiming he was worth two first rounders as soon as he nominated Hawthorn they lined up to say O'Meara "probably won't play again" and "will be lucky to play in 2017"....and here we are reading that he's now a B-grade player at best.

Never change, Bigfooty.
