I feel bad for JOM because even if he does get back to playing 20+ games a season, and remains largely injury-free, for the price the Hawks they paid for him they need him to be a bona fide superstar - a perennial AA and Brownlow contender like Dangerfield for us or Judd for Carlton.
On the flipside the Tom Mitchell deal is looking a good one for them, and they clearly won the Gibson-Gunston trades. You win some, you lose some...
The Gibson and Burgoyne trades didn't exactly look like wins mid way through the first season either. We should probably be a bit more patient before deciding these things.
