Well, people are skeptical about that and whether the Hawks are being completely truthful with their fans. Football clubs routinely lie about injuries for all sorts of reasons (mine included).

He can certainly overcome his injuries and play good football. He showed that in the handful of games he played this year.
However with the benefit of hindsight if you knew his 2017 was going to be spent mostly off field no way the Hawthorn recruiting department would of given up so much in terms of dollars/contract length and draft picks in the trade with GCS.

I can understand that to a point, but when the club have said that they have struggled to get a 100% load put back into his knee without him feeling the after effects, then later say that they have found the reason for this(a small stress fracture) after multiple scans and then we see this improvement (training watchers), I think we are inclined to believe that they were telling the truth when they said that it's not the same knee issue as what has previously concerned him.

Because let's be honest, the Docs aren't going to continually try to load up his knee if they know it's the same problem he's had for 2 years.
They clearly did think it was something else, and couldn't quite pinpoint it, despite the previous scans which showed no issue.

The same Hawk fans arguing so strongly now are the same arrogant Hawk fans who at the start of the year were boasting loudly that he was ready to go. They told us that their brilliant medical team fixed his issues and Gold Coast were incompetent in this area.

I hope the kid can come back just like I hope the same for Trengove but the arrogant Hawk fans makes it difficult to feel any sympathy for them

I recall the MFC saying similar things about Hogan in Rd 1 2014, he ended up missing the entire season.
