So the medical experts on BF spent the last 4 months telling us he will never play again, and now they are doubling down and saying he should play VFL.

Because no player has ever been injured after a pre season...

He played all 3 preseason and 3 regular season without a problem.

A couple of months ago they found the problem, which was new, and fixed it.

And now he is back playing football which is making some pretty massive campaigners upset because they were hoping his career was over.

If it was extra ligament damage I doubt he'd be playing again this year, the more you injure a patella the shorter and weaker it gets. They'd have a duty of care to not play him.

Either way, risky business letting him run around on Etihad - if I was the Hawks fitness team I'd never let him play a game on that shambles of a surface again.

Yep.

O'Meara comes back and continues his career as it started in his first 2 years - all the doing of their amazing medical dept and they are smarter than everyone else for recruiting him. He doesn't and not even their amazing medical dept could fix him and it's a risk any club would have taken. Etc.

And of course anyone who calls out the flogs for being flogs is accused of being a hater and wanting to see a player never recover from injury.

4P is at every training session and has regular conversations with players and staff from the club. He has as much inside information as anyone on BigFooty (and more than anyone when it comes to Hawthorn), so personally I'd tone it down a bit if I were you guys, unless you are happy to be made a fool of that is.

I'll stick to my knowledge since i'm pretty close with the specialist he sees in Melbourne. But thanks for your words.
On a lighter note, I really do hope he gets back to playing football and can put this injury behind him.

And I'll take the word of someone who I know has inside connections and relationships within Hawthorn over someone who says he knows Jaeger's knee specialist (who wouldn't be able to say anything legally under doctor patient privilege).

The lighter note part, I think most people want this (I know I do) but sadly there are people on this forum who only want to see him fail because it means that Hawthorn have failed.
