Yep, everyone's a gun at training. If I want to see how he's going I'll watch in round 1.A player ‘fit & firing’ during preseason.... well blow me down with a feather.
Hey Titts McLaugh... c'mon.. just jealous.I think if he does the knees again he will actually give it away ...

Time to unwatch the thread, me-thinks.
Oh you.
let him play amongst the stars of Hawthorn... bust.. get it.. oh shucks too early...Can't believe this thread was bumped based on a fluff off-season article from afl.com.au
Hawthorn fans - we get it - you want him to succeed. And I personally think he will repay the faith shown in him by Hawthorn in coming years.
But at this moment, he is a bust. That's undeniable.
Meh he signed a long term deal with us and we are one year in to it, it isn't a success or a bust yet. Can't believe this thread was bumped based on a fluff off-season article from afl.com.au

I did. Then I clicked on it when it was on the front page months later.Thought you un-watched the thread?
Someone doesn’t know what a bust is.Can't believe this thread was bumped based on a fluff off-season article from afl.com.au

He is a bust. At the moment. A ready made player barely playing with Hawthorn parting with a lot to get him to the club.
Of course the situation could change next year but at the moment he has barely got on the park, and he's not some 18 year old project player.
Lewis Jetta was a bust in his first year with us - we parted with a contracted player for a supposed ready made top player. He's paid it off this year but if you were claiming Jetta was a bust after his first year with us I'd happily agree with you.
He wasn't though... He came to the club with a serious injury that they thought they could fix, which from the sounds of it they have. So based on that we now have a 23 year old who is back fully fit and having a good pre season. Which brings me back to my main point of Hawthorn fans having good reason to be excited about him.A ready made player

Just because your definition of a bust is wrong doesn’t mean that everyone needs to change theirs to fit.He is a bust. At the moment. A ready made player barely playing with Hawthorn parting with a lot to get him to the club.

ah you should know that Hawthorn don't recruit for instant success. they have to work and play a bit before it gets serious..He can't be a bust if we haven't see what he was recruited for yet. That being, his prime years - ages 25-29 (2019-2023).

ah you would you bright thing... flight path is right on dude. take me where I want to go... ?Ah yes Hawthorn are so amazing thing.
I'll wait til he plays an AFL game and smashes it, like the player Hawks paid for until I get jealous;-)
I hope so mate, was very disappointed in Shiels this season. Was really expecting him to take the next step with Lewis and Mitchell moving on. I have more faith in some of our younger guys kicking on with it. Cousins looks super fit and ready to go. We desperately need to be able to get Mitchell some assistance in the midfield this season.
Might wanna watch his round 23 game against the dogs. Pretty impressive from a player just returning from a long term injury.Ah yes Hawthorn are so amazing thing.

Both pretty bog average inside mids.Certainly surprised me did Shiels, I mean if you ask Abasi he is as good a player as Nathan Jones so was bizarre he struggled to get a kick with increased responsibility.
