And I want that hoodie and serious face
Both pretty bog average inside mids.
Not sure I’ve ever had too much expectation on Shiels, but you obviously think I have.

Jones is a B grader but is still a comfortably better footballer than a downhill skiier like Shiels.
A verb = a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, such as a hawthorn 3peat.There is a special place in hell for people who turn threepeat into a verb.
He is a bust. At the moment. A ready made player barely playing with Hawthorn parting with a lot to get him to the club.
Lewis Jetta was a bust in his first year with us - we parted with a contracted player for a supposed ready made top player. He's paid it off this year but if you were claiming Jetta was a bust after his first year with us I'd happily agree with you.
To await pleasure is pleasure itselfAh yes Hawthorn are so amazing thing.
I'll wait til he plays an AFL game and smashes it, like the player Hawks paid for until I get jealous;-)
To await pleasure is pleasure itself
Yep - awaiting has it’s limits. Ask Saints supportersWhat then is a flag every 4 years for over 50 years? Pleasure interrupted.

That’s how Beckett works anyway. It’s all goodGodot had sympathy for poor old Saints supporters.
Actually that doesn`t make sense.
It’s a requirement when the team you support has threepeated (past tense verb gets a good run)There is a special place in hell for people who turn threepeat into a verb.
What about players at their third club being referred to as “threecycled” players? There is a special place in hell for people who turn threepeat into a verb.

Sweet. There is a special place in hell for people who turn threepeat into a verb.
LOL.Jones is a B grader but is still a comfortably better footballer than a downhill skiier like Shiels.
LOL.
Shiels the downhill skier has averaged over 7 tackles a game for the last 3 years, while playing as a defensive mid.
He’s the complete opposite of a downhill skier.
His disposal average in 2017 was exactly the same as his threepeat years. Can’t get a kick when the gun players aren’t there to carry him anymore, solid C grader at best.
His disposal average in 2017 was exactly the same as his threepeat years.
Try again.
I’ve learned that people on BigFooty say “at best” when their argument is weak/non-existent but they need it to sound compelling. Can’t get a kick when the gun players aren’t there to carry him anymore, solid C grader at best.
Yea mate he was playing for the last month of the season in 2017 and has had no set backs. Has been in full training for the entire pre season so far and has been looking good. Absolutely no reason to think he won't be fit and ready to go round 1.Only read the last page, but how is JOM tracking ?
Will he be ready to go rd 1
Some Hawks supporters thought he would. Some. That must have been why I’ve constantly read on here that hawks supporters thought he would step up more. I’m not trying to aimlessly bash Shiels but I do think it was ridiculous you put him on the same level as Jones, that’d be like saying Colin Garland was as good as Stratton.
