It only takes a solitary good game in 4 years to reach that status at Hawthorn.

Probably had enough games now to have blown out the cobwebs and get up to speed with the modern game after so long out.

Should start to play some consistently good footy now although he's still essentially only a 3rd year player games wise so has alot of improvement left. I wouldn't expect to see his very best til he's 26-27 due to missing so long.

for the record, despite the shrill histrionic carry-on of a few #head****ed Hawthorn posters, this is quite literally the last thing I posted about the player in question, 3 months ago:

Was super impressed with O'Meara and Mitchell. Hawks supporters couldn't possibly have hoped for a better output than they got there....O'Meara looked as good as he has post-injury. Good movement as encouraging as anything. His first 10 minutes was pretty amazing.

Main optimism for Hawks supporters would be the very real chance the big gamble and price paid for Mitchell and O'Meara might pay off. Well, already a certainty for Mitchell, and despite what anyone might think I wish Jaeger all the best too. Deserves a good healthy run at it to see if he can still be the player he was destined to be.

Good start, let's see what happens

Genuinely hope O'Meara continues his good form, I think he deserves a break more than just about anybody.

Don't let that get in the way of #head****ed bleating though, of course
