THE HORROR!Oh, I’ve got a better candidate to wear that great name.......![]()
Oh I see. So you've given up on Burton being better than McGrath and now desperately hoping your high price once in a generation big fish one day ends up more than 2 touches a game better than a guy 5 years younger than him.
That Hawthorn hubris really has disappeared
Absolute stinker for the eagles we got Wellingham (pies got grundy with that pick), Brent Collage, Adam Carter and promoted **** brad dick. And Hutchings who is the only one on the list still but nothing more then a fringe/depth playerThat 2012 first round really has proven to be a stinker:
O'Rourke, Plowman (pick 3), Toumpass, Menzel, Jaksch, Lonergan, Garner, Simpson, Kennedy, Hrovat, Towers, Paparone have all performed, or various reasosn, below expectation

Because this thread is about JOM , strange question.....
Not relevant to this thread
Great to see the bloke playing decent regular footy, but if I’m honest I just can’t see him getting to the AA quality we’d hoped he might.
Still only 24 so plenty of time to prove me wrong.
This is his best year, not sure what you are on about.Sadly I think we may have already seen O'Meara's best years.
Nah. stats-wise yes but stats don’t always tell the true story. He’s currently like an mid-range Audi racking up the KMs. In his first couple of years he burst out like a Ferrari and was sensational to watch. Not the player he was....yet.This is his best year, not sure what you are on about.

Then it must be about McGrath this week - JOM didn’t have the best game on the weekendSeems this thread is only about JOM after a decent game.
At all other times Hawks fans seem to want to make it about McGrath.

PS: how did Ooh Ahh go?
Well, if this has been his best year...hate to see his worst. Really average player. This is his best year, not sure what you are on about.

Very close to an All-Australian squad now in my opinion. Excellent come back by O'Meara and particularly the staff at the Hawks who've allowed him to grow and regain his confidence without pressure from within.
He's a long way from AA, this year has been a massive step forward for him but he has a ways to goVery close to an All-Australian squad now in my opinion. Yeah slight over-reach thereExcuse me? He is nowhere near it.
