Haven't really seen it mentioned anywhere, however, this tackle is a terrible look. Pins the arm and sticks the leg out to trip the player.

Pretty bizarre action really, and quite dangerous.

Didn't wrench the arm. He's stopping his opponent from getting a disposal the monster.

Trips the player while having his arm pinned, with no way for the player to protect himself.

If a North player had done this to Duke I still wouldn't have thought there was anything in it.

All I'm seeing are stills and slow-mo footage.

It was a gang tackle that ended up being holding the ball. The umpire on duty clearly thought there was nothing wrong with it in real time.

Legs make contact above the knee, could argue his leg is stopping the opponent from running forward. Is it a dangerous trip? no chance. Can you even trip someone above the knee? The dictionary says foot.

Now the arm pull at the end could be an issue.

Put him to ground, face first, in a way he couldn't protect himself, so while it isn't your typical pinned tackle, he should be gone.

That said though, there were two of them doing it, so he might be able to argue that his actions by themselves weren't enough to constitute an offence.

Literally just a 2 person tackle. Arm isn't wrenched backwards. It is stopping logue from getting the handball. It is also instantly released when the tackle goes to ground.
Logged also pushes himself forward to try and get a free for in the back

Intent to harm isn't really an issue they care about.

That it was an 'innocent' action doesn't change the result.

Id argue logue is trying to break the tackle by moving forward. I dont think logue is trying to play for a free kick as mentioned above.

Jai has 1 of his arms pinned, but not both. so if purely looking at his actions for the tackle, HE hasnt pinned both arms. The other arm is pinned by someone else. You cant ban someone for pinning one arm and tackling someone to the ground or there would be no one left to play the game.

Hell, jai isnt even the one making the actual tackle. Bramble is tackling and Jai is assisting by holding the arm to stop him getting a hand ball off.
