I will always remember him sooking during the final period at Collingwood. Another chance would require a path with a return for the club. A VFL trial would lead to a draft and him going anywhere if it turned out. A main list place to trial in the VFL when spots are tight does not seem worthwhile. Does he have any delisted status? I don’t think he is for the pies.

I don’t think it would sit well with me if we signed him so soon after delisting Markov who seemed like the best person you could want in your dressing room.

I am, however, open to people growing (and we did draft him and that kid could play as a rookie).

I do office work and was still making mistakes in my life in my late 20s. Yet we expect a lot from footy players, even as early as their teens to get it right (while the rest of us don’t have the same expectation to mature so soon).

People can change. Ideally we all mature before we stuff up our lives, but some of the best of us mature because we made mistakes and learnt from them.
