Oh and lol at WADA. Next to zero chance of getting a ban and even if they were to the previous 3 years would be taken into account and they'd get less than a month of Footy off.

WADA is just an attempt to find default to drop his value. It's pathetic and makes anyone who talks about it seem a little dull.

It makes you seem more then a little delusional to ignore it

If you can turn Lake into Carlisle you will. You may well keep both, Lake on a cheap 1 year deal.
It's certainly not out of the question. I definitely think Hawthorn are the dark horses in this years exchange period. Still the possibility to land a big fish, whether they be named Carlisle, Bennell or another we haven't even heard about yet.

So superbrain logic from Jay Clark suggests that.
1 StKilda is not willing to trade their first draft pick this year ( pick 5 ).
2 Therefore they will be willing to trade a player who was pick 3 two years ago in a strong draft, who has played enough AFL football to suggest that we are still happy with our choice of draft pick that year.

Can someone please tell me how this makes any sense at all.

Essendon supporters, i suggest that if a complete idiot tells you something, you shouldn't believe it just because you like what you hear.
( Watch Essendon employ the coach who tells them he can win them a premiership next year ).

After the Garlett fiasco I can't see Hawthorn going the Bennell route. You also have two blokes in his position that are elite. Carlisle I have you as the front runners, might be your 2016 first round selection.

Nah, you should believe quotes from Carlisle or his manager, of which there were plenty in that above article.

However the quote that the EFC supporter posted above was just from the News Ltd reporter lol.
Ok ,so we can't quote any paid journos but your opinion counts,
so tell us, why aren't Carlton being spoken about?
Hear there's an exodus happening..

Would you trade Menzel for Carlisle? Or is he staying put?
Should you really have that as your Sig being the current reigning Spooners? That's gotta suck at we've got 16 flags and 99% of our supporters have never seen a spoon...hearing your supporters sook on SEN about draft picks is cute..

Please tell me it isn't Collingwood!

WB or St Kilda are the frontrunners surely then. Amazed that Hawthorn aren't one. He would suit them going forward.
Surprised me too, thought Hawks as a replacement for Lake, premiership chances, decent money available etc. and Carlton for a few other reasons but apparently not!

Carlton won't have the resources. Not unless they are giving up their top selection and they won't. Carlisle all things being equal is worth around pick 10, might be a bit under/bit over but that is about the mark. Watch Hawthorn come late, they did the same with Frawley

Seeing as it's just a nomination at this stage, that's still a possibility. Obviously depends on what Jake thinks of their offer.

He will want one thing- to play CHB so whatever club can offer this.

Rightfully so too, he hates playing forward. Essendon should have bitten the bullet 12 months ago with this.

A Carlton board member but he could've been having me on. I don't know that he'd know if it were anyone OTHER than Carlton which makes me think he lied about it not being the blues.
Oh well glad it's from someone we can trust, he doesn't work for the HS or SEN, does he have a bigfooty account? I'd like to see it written twice before I'm sure about this..

Can you please explain the correlation between what a guy is paid and what pick he should be worth via trade? Simplistic way of looking at it
That was how the AFL worked out compensation for players taken by the plastic franchises and how Tom Scully ended up the most valuable player in the league.

This just reeks of typical Essendon overrating their player.

They've got a guy who's uncontracted and wants out (no bargaining power) and they're asking for a contracted top 3 draft pick from only a couple of years ago in return.

**** me. Carlisle isn't a bad player, but his worth is about a 10-20 pick, not a player who was taken at pick 3 and hasn't really hit his straps yet
