5 is way overs for Carlisle considering he is under suspension cloud, out of contract and nominated the Saints. Would imagine St Kilda having to either trade a young player (unlikely) or procure a pick between 10-20 for him.
We've got pick 11.
Let's discuss what the Saints would want to add to our pick for pick 5. Win/win

No i dont im asking for other options.

if you are unwilling to trade quality youth or pick 5 then you will miss out
Why would we miss out

Personally carlisle is worth something after pick 10

Next years first rounder and some other picks coming back to us might be an option

But if you use paddy ryder as an example who is a better player then its 2nd rounder and a player or later picks

Who runs this stuff for the Saints?

I’m hoping not still the same blokes who refused to take the offered pick for Ball - who was barely in their best 22 – instead taking nothing and watching him beat them in a GF the next year.

pick 5 for carlisle and essendons second rounder which is ontraded to collingwood for freeman. how is this not perfect for all?

He's not worth 5. But 5 is worth Freeman and Carlisle. Collingwood would take our second for freeman. (or if saints really wanted, they could trade their second and keep ours which is 1 selection ahead)

Collingwood win, essendon get an early selection for carlisle and our second (which I'd rate at around pick 6 or so) and saints give up pick 5 for 2 talents. Win win win

Why? What happens in this case if the same thing happens? Haha Carlisle will go into the draft and ............????
( and Ball was clearly in the best 22 - he had to play something like 2 Sandringham games the sook, he needed a wakeup call , just like DalSanto did at one point ).

This "Carlton cooled on him" propaganda is absolute crap.

As if a mob in their position wouldn't want him. Especially with Henderson leaving.

St Kilda is obviously a far more attractive option. Simple.

Carlton aren't fooling anybody - JC simply wasn't interested in playing for a cellar dweller.

Essendon get deals done. We will again here.

I'm wondering if St Kilda can, because they have a history of not doing so.

Again - who runs this stuff for the Saints?

Will be interesting to see how the supposedly unreasonable at the trade table Dodoro handles this.
He's also considered "high maintenance "?

If the deal doesn't get done, tell me what will happen. I'll give you a hint, he won't be going back to Essendon. StKilda CAN walk away from negotiations.
Ameet Bains will be running the show i guess.
