No way known is carlisle worth pick 5 and he isnt worth a second rounder

Sending a second rounder back for pick 5 doesnt make it any better

So something else has to be done

I think everyone can agree to that

pick 5 for carlisle and essendons second rounder which is ontraded to collingwood for freeman. how is this not perfect for all?

He's not worth 5. But 5 is worth Freeman and Carlisle. Collingwood would take our second for freeman. (or if saints really wanted, they could trade their second and keep ours which is 1 selection ahead)

Collingwood win, essendon get an early selection for carlisle and our second (which I'd rate at around pick 6 or so) and saints give up pick 5 for 2 talents. Win win win
Freeman has never played an AFL game.

Bellchambers played poorly when the club stuffed up his injury management on his ankle. He kicked 28 goals from 18 games in 2013, whilst averaging 22 hitouts as well. To put it in perspective, Dean Cox never averaged 20+ hitouts and 1.5 goals/game in his career.
Dean Cox pre Naitanui spent his career running around the half back line looking for handball receives, he had more contested marks in his last 4 years than his first 8. His Rebound 50/Inside 50 ratio is miles ahead of his contemporaries.
