Asking for negative evidence is just childish.
Can you provide evidence that aliens won't attack tomorrow?
Can you provide evidence that a group of supermodels won't invade my home and demand my body?

Its easy to believe crap for no good reason and demand negative evidence. You are probably a prime candidate for some weird religious cult ( or supporting Essendon football club ).

your twin defacto is the one looking for evidence bud, or are you in fact 2 heads connected to the one body? would explain a lot...

How do you expect to get 10 when you'll be banned from trading your 2016 first rounder when the Freeman deal goes through? Pretty much confirms that Saints can no longer keep pick 5 and so might as well just give it to Essendon.

Makes some of the proposed GC/Port/Essendon/St.Kilda trades void.
Which of those proposed trades involve the Saints trading out a future pick?

Just wondering why Bombers fans seem to be thinking it is Ameet Bains holding the deal up?

Essendon deals have - for three years running, including this year - been quite spiteful and have gone down to the wire.

It definitely does take two to tango, but there does seem to be an undeniable common thread.

It's a bit of boy who cried wolf TBH.

In fairness, the Gold Coast deal was totally the fault of the Suns. The Dogs for Crameri, yeah fair enough we were probably the problem. The Ryder deal was just tough; Port didn't have the picks, and we rightfully felt we were getting unders.

Considering no offer came until Friday, I don't see how anyone can think anything but this being St Kildas fault.

Well let's look at the evidence:

1. Bains had pick 5 off the table for the first 4 days of the trade period
2. When he did offer pick 5, St. Kilda wanted BOTH 23 and 25 back
3. Essendon have negotiated well throughout trade week, but Bains has barely done anything except demand too low a price from Essendon.

Surely if, and it's an if, an offer of 10 for Carlisle has been made and rejected its past the point of either side complaining about the deal being unfair.

Going by big footy posters 10-15 felt like a fair range for Carlisle, and it appears we got there (yes it has been a bumpy road, but we are here)

Don't really understand why that deal would be knocked back unless there is something else to it.

You're presuming Dodoro is telling the truth with no offer has been made - seeing as he also said he would only be dealing with Hawthorn, yet the negotiations with St Kilda are definitely continuing and Hawks are on the backburner, he is seemingly a bit prone to fibs.

Why do you think Essendon attracts such nasty negotiations?

You cannot state that Essendon's last few years at the trade table have been anything short of bruising.

Hahahahaha.

Jay got it first. :D :D
Filing it in the "Richmond are making an offer for Carlisle" and "Hawks have the green light" folder, then.
I'll even accept Slobbo as a back-up source in this case, because if the fairest deal offered so far is being rejected, then whoever plays Dodoro in the inevitable movie about this will win an award for "Best New Comedic Talent"

Hawks are waiting for this deal to fail and then swoop.

Sooo, rumour doing the rounds this arvo that Carlisle's manager rang around the relevant clubs to check what their plans might be if Jakey boy goes to the PSD. Apparently he wasn't doing cartwheels with the responses received & is now suitably satisfied Jakey wont get to the Saints that way.

Whoda thunk it?:drunk:
