very confident

anything that comes from the dons needs to be taken with a grain of salt. its 90% bullshit, like we saw last week and like we saw during the ASADA saga

fact is if dodoro was so confident he wouldnt be talking trades right now. he's actually counter offered a few times now

the longer this goes on the more confident i am that we get him for free
How the hell would you know Dodoro has actually counter offered a few times ????????

How is he schooling him? Nothing has happened
You have had a player nominate your club, you have had his manager say the offered deal is fair yet

Ameeteur Hour has gone from "Pick 5 is excessive and we will find another way to get it done" to offering

pick 5, to Carlisle having a back up plan if StKilda fail to provide Essendon with sufficient compensation for their player so he doesn't have to enter the PSD..

Schooled.

google or go back and read this thread. essendon offered their 3rd rounder for our 5th and carlisle
Ok, so I took your advice :drunk: google it and the best i could find was "Essendon is reportedly ready to table a counter-offer for St Kilda after a tumultuous week surrounding Jake Carlisle's future."

So how is that several counter offers ???????????????????????????????????

There is no result in the above scenario, no trade / no outcome - love how you portray 'sufficient compensation' think you need to go back to the title of this thread once again 'uncontracted Jake Carlisle'

Nothing has changed besides the continual leaks from your club - you should be proud, your sense of entitlement is beyond reasoning

If Carlisle was a draft pick - Giant Deal:
Gaints---------------------Pick 8 (1551)
IN Picks 23 + 24
Out 8
Gain 49 Points
(2 early round picks allow them to use pick 27 on another player)

Saints ---------------------Pick 5 (1878) + Pick 24 (785) = 2663
Out Pick 5 + 24
In Carlisle + 8
Gain 156 points

Essendon't ----------------Pick 23 (815) + Carlisle (Approx pick 12 =1268) = 2024
Out 23 + Carlisle
In 5
Lose 205 points

Fair points wise.

Pick 45+63 = 459 points Rice can be bided for as pick 29 and we can match the bid.

Edit: We could give the Bombers back a pick if the freeman trade involves Collingwoods 3rd or 4th rounder.

If it's true that Carlisle is happy to go to Hawthorn as a last resort i think it's best we spend our time talking to him, along with the Hawks, and get him to go there if he will.

In all seriousness nothing against the Saints but imo for where we are as a team atm i think i would prefer to have 4, 15, 18, 23 and 25. That's a very nice crop of picks in ANY draft and if you get it right you could set your club up for a long time around that.

We have a lot of holes to fill and the extra pick, while still keeping our second rounders, is more beneficial imo.

Perfect trade, just depends if Essendon will give up 25
No. 3rd is fair enough. Saints can package that with their second round for Freeman.

Pick 5 for Carlisle and 44 rates Carlisle around 9. That's fair.

Not sure if the Pies will be happy with that but if it helps get Aish that'll do.

Goodluck with that, bottom line it is up to Jake Carlisle not Essendon, nothing against Essendon.....

4,5 and 23 is a decent hand. But I gets the feeling we are holding out for either 5 straight or jake to green light the Hawks (which I'm wondering when the player ever had this choice...but anyway)
4,15,18,23 and 25 is more valuable to us than 4,5 and 23.

I don't think you can say either of those packages are necessarily better, but more dependant on the draft and the amount of picks a club is going to use.

As you know your list, and list management would trust that ad a lot of supporters want it.

5 straight would think happen. So you will have to hope he will agree to the Hawks.
