My point still stands though.
It does. lots of list cloggers in that group. Of those on the list I reckon only Edwards should be on the Ess list in the next 2 years. That's if he's developed correctly and Hird plays him over blokes like Cooney. Not great signs at present.

Staggered McKernan was dropped instead of giving him a crack up forward. That's his spot, like Everitt for Carlton. Don't know if he is up to it, but should at least get a shot at it.

Yep us fans have been harping on it for weeks ideal set up will be Giles 1st ruck with McKernan in the goal square but for some reason Hird doesn't get it.

Yep, and keep Edwards in the team. Plays well one week and kicks two goals. Next week he's the sub. Week after he's in the VFL. He's been on the list long enough. Give him a crack for the next 5 weeks and see what he can do.

Problem with this less than 50 games talk is that Hird isn't giving kids like these the games.

Well pretty sure the team that just flogged them by 15 goals had more kids under 50 games than Essendon. Think according to the Hird rule they couldn't be fifth in the ladder

That is just an illusion and an excuse.

Were playing the kids, sure, laverde langford are really promising... and you could argue they wouldnt be playing if we were in a better position, but the others have been list cloggers for years and will not make it at afl level.

They may be low on games but theyve been stewing in the 2s for a few years now.

Most people seem to think he's going to Carlton, probably for the Henderson pick they get from Geelong. Which I don't understand from Geelong's view. They're getting Henderson to play FB/CHB, why not just get Jake instead? I think most people would agree he's better than Henderson.

If Carlisle nominates Carlton , why would Carlton trade any pick gained for Henderson for him ?
Perhaps the reason Geelong wouldn't "just get Jake instead" might be the fact that Henderson is guaranteed to be available for selection in round one next year ... Carlisle is not .
Most would agree , that would be the wiser investment of your first round pick .

So if you're not giving up the Henderson pick, what are you giving up? Pick 1/2 is too much, pick 20 or so is not enough. Or are we living in this fantasy world where he goes in the PSD?

Is this a deliberate troll or are you as thick as two planks? ... I hope that doesn't sound rude. I'm genuinely concerned.

The sooner Essendon realise that McKernan will show glimpses of brilliance, and ultimately combine it with a whole lot of incredibly clumsy, dumb football, the better off they'll be. When it comes to football with McKernan, the lights are on, but nobody is home.

I'd trade the Henderson pick for him.
If we got say pick 10-15 for Henderson, I'd prefer to invest in the draft than give it up for a player who, at this stage, we don't know if he will be eligible to play next year. No way Carlton give up such a high pick for a player who has all of these negatives against his name. They only do it on the cheap. I'm not saying psd, I'm saying a pick 20 and onwards.

These last 3 years have been a long hard road for you fish , and still no end in sight .
I understand and forgive you the personal insults .
If Carlisle nominates Carlton , best you take your holidays ...
