Well dreamer. I'd prefer to pay Judd, Warnock (when there was plenty of clubs interested in him), Carrazzo, Thomas etc bigger money than invest it into Cooney, Goddard (the biggest sook in afl), Guilt, Choppy and I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Anyways, as previously stated, I hope to hell Essendon do play hard ball. Dodo always does.

Trading to get a psd... That's probably one of the funniests things I've heard on here. Thanks for the laugh
Always fancied myself doing stand up. Thanks haha.
Cooney was a dud pick but trade restrictions brought that on I think as well as Gwilt (who's actually been pretty handy). Goddard's been good value too. More than Daisy I might add.

Blokes like Yarran, Thomas, Gibbs, Murphy, Kreuzer and Co would be taking a fair chunk I'd imagine.
Yarran, no. Thomas, front loaded so maybe. Gibbs, no. Murphy, no.
Judd gone, Warnock gone or reduced as club has previously stated, Carrazzo probably gone, Walker who knows. no doubt others will be delisted to make way for at least 4 from the draft.

We're all good in the money departnent

Cooney had nothing to do with trade restrictions. You gave up pick 37 for him

Clearly advising your fellow supporter the Cooney trade had nothing to do with trade restrictions champ
We had to try and push for top 4, window was closing.
Window is closed now, so the trade looks bad.
Cooney is a skier, not going to go well in a bottom 4 team.
But in a top team, he adds polish. Much like Higgins at North has.

Again, nothing to do with trade restrictions, but thanks.

It's clear he didn't even mean trade restrictions, rather draft penalties. But yeah lets add another 10 pages over a handful of trivial comments.

He was clearly recruited for two reasons, one as polish if we pushed top 4 and as a back up in case players copped bans. It has backfired, but there have been far bigger drafting blunders that it pales in comparison.

Care to explain your comments there? Which of these are hardball? Who’s the last player to leave Essendon and not get to his club of choice?

2014 – Ryder traded to Port for picks 17 and 37
2013 – Crameri traded to Dogs for pick 26
2013 – Gumbleton traded to Freo for pick 55
2012 – Monfries traded to Port for pick 51
2011 – Jenkins + pick 41 traded to Adelaide for pick 31
2009 – Lovett traded to St Kilda for pick 16

My comment has nothing to do with whether the player gets to their club of choice.

Omg. Don't worry and stop taking it personal
I'm not taking it personal, you're talking about dodoro, not me.

We're discussing possible Carlisle trades, you said you hope we play hardball and Dodoro always does.

What do you mean? How does he play hard ball? And why are you hoping he does?

Other club: We want your top 5 player for pick 45.
Essendon: He is at least worth a first round pick.
Other club and media: Essendon are hard to deal with.
BF ****: Yeb Essendon are hard to deal with.

Lol. Happens every year. Can't wait for the stupid ***** to come out with their peacocks out again.

You've been called out man and now you're deflecting.

Simple fact is Essendon were previously very poor traders during the sheedy era and now have unfairly been stuck with that stigma over the past decade due to media hyperbole.

You've perpetuated it and you're wrong.

Apparently it means "I can't actually back that up with anything".
“I hope Essendon play hardball”? It doesn’t even make sense.

Why would an opposition supporter in a trade situation hope they play hardball?

If they want an Essendon player, I would've thought they’d prefer Essendon just take whatever is offered for the player.

It means I hope Essendon demand more for Carlisle then what any club will want to offer. Trade negotiations break down and he hits the psd. Doubt it will get that far tbh.
