Are you ****ing for real or what? You've bagged a whole heap of players and although I agree about JR and Wiggins and a tad about Fisher (needs a spell in the twos to get his confidence back, not delisting), you've included Edwards (effectively a second year player), Browne (played about 5 games), Hadley (ditto for us) and Pffeifer.

I am glad you can see players after 5 games and conclude that they 'will not make it'. I dunno what Wayne Hughes was thinking after watching Browne for the best part of 5 years when he picked him

We have many problems but Edwards isn't one of them. The guy has played around 10 games FFS! I bet you were one of those people calling for JK's head as well when he didn't step up in his first couple. What part of KPPs need time don't you understand?

I never mentioned hadley not once, he is one of my favorite players, so I suggest you go back and read what I wrote, the three u agreed with are the ones I was bagging. Dont know where you got Pffeifer and hadley from me, when I am wrapped in those two. If others dont like em, its got nothing to do with me. Im just stateing my opinion on the ones I think are soft.

Jake Edwards is in his 3rd season and is a KPP who take longer to develop. He was a bottom ager in the same draft as Josh Kennedy plus played no games in his first season anyway so is effectively a second year player.

You have to give these blokes time, you can't expect instant results from taller players as soon as they walk in the team.

Dude im not expecting Edwards to kick 30+ goals in his 3 year!(which is possible BTW) But atleast show the supporters SOMETHING, for a bloke thats gonna play forward.. theres no speed of the mark for a lead, nor any penetration kicking for goal. YOU DONT NEED TO BE A SUPERSTAR TO DO THAT!! ( Atleast with Josh his 6 foot plus, (Somthing to workwith).

Dont get me wrong dude im all for giving young blokes a go, But its when YOU JUST CANT SEE ANYTHING IN THEM that drives me nuts. little example Compare some of the young blokes we got same age same amounts of games played etc, to recruits to other clubs have, thats how i compare there progress and ability..

Look at our Younger list Hard and compare to the clubs that are rebuilding same as carlton eg. ess,

HOW LONG HAVE WE BEEN REBUILDING? 6-7 years? i could only give you a HAND FULL OF PLAYERS that would have what it takes to play in a premiership..

open up your eyes WE NEED GOOD RECRUITERS!!!

Carlton has had a history of picking duds thinking they can improve,

Look Edwards has shown signs. Whether they are sufficient or not is your personal opinion. He has taken a few good marks and has good speed off the mark from what I have seen. The problem is he hasn't converted those marks into goals otherwise he'd have kicked 3 or so goals in a couple of games by now.

The MAJOR problem with our forward line is that no one goes to any player other than Fevola!! So players like Edwards (and Kennedy last year) lead and lead but no one looks at them and pin point the pass to them, they'd just blindly bomb it to Fevola. Our forward line has no structure except "kick it to Fev". How do you expect forwards to shine in these situations? They have talent but they need to be given opportunity and because they are ignored, they go kick chasing up the wings.

Until the midfielders open their eyes and spot other players, its going to be impossible to have an impact in the Carlton forward line. These are the problems we need to get sorted first before we start hanging youngsters out to dry.

Correct me if im wrong but i think Fisher has the most marks for a Carlton player this year. I think he has been playing the hit up man at CHF pretty well for a bloke his size. He should really be a flanker but is being forced to play CHF coz of lack of options.

He isnt kicking as many goals as he is playing further up the ground. No way he will get dropped to the reserves. Hasnt had as good a year as last year, but still not disgraceful.

As for Edwards, i remember hearing Judd talking him up pre season for his great hands. Watched him in the praccy game vs the doggies and he was great, taking great grabs and kicking some great goals. Just think he hasnt hit his straps in the seniors and maybe lacking confidence. Have heard he is a little ticked that he didnt play more games from the outset as they said he would, but then went and picked setanta instead of him.

And dont know how you can pick on Browne, he has been impressive, and a good little hard nut down back.

Kids take time some longer than others, some will make it and some wont, it's the same at every club.

Jake I think is going ok at this stage of his development, I see enough in him to suggest he's still improving.

Many people on here used to think that Josh Kennedy didn't go that well, unfortunatley he's no longer on our list, but he's improving every week and is starting to look like the player we thought he would be.

Jake could be exactly the same players take different amounts of time to develop and I don't think our forward line is that easy to play in when we go to Fev a bit too much.

Another major difference between JK and Jake is that JK was a 1st round draft pick and Jake was a 3rd round (Bower was 2nd round).

IMO he's shown plenty so far for a bottom aged late pick KPP prospect and I'm confident he's got plenty of improvement left.

He cant kick, has poor technique and lacks penetration and confidence, These are the reasons he plays up the ground, Do you honestly think that if he was a good option to kick goals that Ratten would still play him as the lead up man....Ahh No!!!

That's because he is sh_t, that's why, him wiggin's and JR, they all make me sick. Because Wiggin's took one good mark against the Pie's, every one on here thought he was the next best thing to toast. I never rated him and want him out, gone, delisted for good. Apart from Fev, we have nothing in the forward line, all they do is kick behind's, and Im sick of everyone blaming fev for our loss.

Couldn't agree more! Ever Notice how often Wiggins goes to ground, has trouble staying on his own two feet. Will get his 100 games and then hopefully be delisted at the end of the year!

JR is terrible, for every good thing he does (and he has done a few on the defensive side and a couple of strong marks) he does 2-3 terrible things! And has he kicked one goal off a set shot yet? must have had close to ten opportunities that i have seen this yr.

Fish has a great mark but CANNOT kick to save his life (from set shot).

Edwards has hardly shown anything and certainly doesn't look to be a 'target'....

Eddie Betts is a little gun but besides him Fev is the only one with a decent set shot, so why should our midfield pass it to anyone else?

You have no idea, Carlton actually have a good record of recruiting players from other clubs, you are obviously just looking at who we got under Pagan.

You are still wrong, we have only seriously been rebuilding for 2 years, look at all the years under Pagan when we were penalised in the draft, how did we rebuild??? we didn't, cause we had to use recycled players, so the rebuilding only happened in the past 2 years.

When you have the youngest list in the AFL, how are you going to have 12 players with 100 games?? By the end of next year we'll have those 12 players you are taling about, maybe even 15, which would be about right as i think 2010 is going to be the year we really take the rise.

You will be laughing in 2 years, trust me.

Soft? someone said. He is actually a very good kick,has missed a few shots for sure.
Had a quiet game for sure....but considering it was his FIFTH and is playing a very tough role..no cheap stats there when the mid field wont lower their eyes past Fev.
Probably a good thing Brett Ratten is the coach and not some of the people on here.Play us Richmond fans on a break which is saying something.
