Played alot of Footy against Jake as a Jnr and Snrs He is very tough and hard at it wont shirk a contest and can run all day. i think he may surprise alot of people. Good Luck Kingy

It's not political corretness, it's common sense. Would you be insulted if I called you "straight"? No? Why ever not?

I just don't understand why someone would take it as an insult to be called "gay".

Plus I wasn't having a go at you. I'll admit the pic does look a bit camp and whether you intended to or not, you never said it was a bad thing, you just posed the idea. It was the Skunks-supporter who reckoned you were having a go.

I agree with the hard at it and tough as nail part of your comment. Jake might be small, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in skill. Not only is jake a highly skilled footballer, with an amazing football brain, he also has a never say die attitude. Every game I've watched has given 110%, even when it looks like all is lost Jake never gives up, he gives his all until that final siren blows.
He wins over the fans for the simple fact that he is a great footballer, and any club would love to have him. Not only is Jake a asset to any team, he is also a great bloke off field.
He doesn't need to impress you mate, he's impressed the right people and that is why he is pulling on a Richmond jumper tonight.
Jake has proven that he deserves this chance. He has gone from playing local football to the AFL in 18 months... not a bad effort for someone you claim isn't that impressive.
Stick it up them Jake!!!!!!!!

i really don't think jake needs to stick it up us - we haven't booed him or anything - just we have seen alot of mature age little "goers" come and go with minimal success at our club - we are ALLOWED to be sceptical
Brett Evans, Fleming Jeremy Humm, have all been given a go at our club, and they got a fair go - but we are sceptical about if king can physically be able to be goo enough to play AFL football - no one has had a go at his attitude or endeavour - we just question his overall ability to be able to maintain the same level of success at a much higher level - not often a player recruited at 22-23 ends up being better than "average" - its a true yet sad fact - of course we want him to be, and we all wish him the best, for his and our own good.

and that photo , we have questioned that photo....

I suggest you give this guy a chance before you start bagging him. Be as realisitic as you want, but give him a go before you tarnish his name.

As for your "Joke" - you obviously have too much time on your hands.
Seems to me like your a little jealous Jake has his picutre and name all over the papers.

Just to make one thing VERY clear - Jake is far from Gay, and stupid comments like that are not funny....

I wasn't saying you booed him - i was responding to Goldust's comments.
As far as past players go, each player is different, i don't think Jake shoud be written off or judged until he has at least given it a go.
As fas as the physical side of things go, Jake is as fit as they come, he should handle it well!!!
As for the photo - you have to pose how they tell you to pose. It's a light heared photo, but as far as being Gay i can assure you he isn't.
