He is up to AFL standard because he has played some great AFL games. He has taken the same path as AFL Premiership Captain Sam Mitchell. U/18's/VFL/Rookie (orSupp) and then Senior list! Bloody Oath I'd keep him!!!!!
difference being that Sam Mitchell wasn't 24 years old when he started, their is not a thing at all that is comparable between the two:rolleyes:

Jake is a super player he is quick, tough and puts on a good tackle don't forget he is only 174cm tall. He will be important for Richmond in the future. Our backline is beginning to take shape with McGuane, Moore and Thursfield King is going to be important as it is vital to have good depth.

We finished a game and a half off the DOUBLE CHANCE. Beat the Premiers and DREW with Footscray. We're not 16th anymore!

Im positive towards our direction but sheeesh I dont know if I was spoilt by the early eighties, but when we are successful, everyone will know it.

There will be no debate or difference of opinions. No arguments as to whether we are and why we are not.

Do you think Geelong and Hawthorn supporters are debating amongst each other as to whether thier side is one of the top sides in the competition.

Maybe this board will become boring at that point. We will all be posting like Peter Sassegum.

You can't base an argument solely on age! Richo nearly won the Brownlow at 33. King is 24 and has been playing Senior AFL Football for 2 years. Top 10 finish in B&F as well as Best First year player in '07. Missed 8 games due to injury in '08 but he's in our best 22.
If he isn't, keep him for depth! (or we can just pin our hopes on more 58kg 17 year olds!!!)

Yres you can, chances are if your 24, your too small for AFL, and have been shown that you are not up you it, your not going to improve very much.
Don't compare Richo and King, Richo has been a star from day one, King belongs in the VFL

His kicking is generally good, handball good , he is quick and he is a tough little bugger, deserves another contract, rotate him in the middle or HFF

At the start of the year, I stupidly saw him as a faster libba. Silly me. The BIG BIG difference I think is composure. I think he gets to pumped up, over stimulated to the point his performance suffers.

It hopefully is 2nd year blues and he settles as he is very talented in spite of what many of you think.

Your right.

Libba had the discipline to stick with his man when in a lock down role and the talent/mongrel to hold his own one on one when needed. I hated him but he was effective.

King has not been able to play either role successfully unfortunately.

has to go. back to the vfl for you kingy - forever. i am sorry but your skills are just not up to it and good on you for having a dip but every turnover you make gifts the other team a goal.

yep, just not up to it, wish every player had his heart but simply cant cut it at this level, too costly

King is very similar to a player at the Pies in late 90s - Luke Godden. When the whole club was going to shit you wanted someone to stand up and show they care for a couple of years. Yes, he turned it over and was nowhere nbear league standard, but he was needed at the time. But to go forward you can't have that sort of player on the list long-term and expect to win flags. Look at the Pies example... Godden was gone by 2000 and replaced with... erm... Mark McGough!? Still, the principle applies. Hang onto King because you need his effort and desire to ride this storm out. The Tiges aren't as far away as the nihilists think.
