I have to give him props, he is playing some fantastic footy.

The thing that has really hit me about him is that he looks like a footballer now. He can kick, he is getting in the right spots, he's hard as anything. He's just turning into the player that is basically the exact opposite of what he has been in previous years, which was that of "Oh god, King has it, turnover time!" Now it's "King has it, something good will happen now!".

I wouldn't be suprised to see him finish top 10 in bnf. While he's never best on field, he dies look like it when we play poor.
He's not that noticeable when we look good but as soon as we are poor or having a down patch he stands out as one of our best.

Yep, he's shown enough to keep his spot for another year. Another good game from the angry man child.

He looked good with the footy but if he was on Gilbert or Goddard then he was pantsed all day. If he was on Fisher then he had a really good game.

Didn't really have a defensive role today. Played smartly and let the Saints players run up the ground and would slip out the back to expose them on the rebound hence him kicking 3 and setting up a couple more.

Particularly the small forward / forward pocket. Look at Milne - had a shocker, kicked one in junk time. Should the saints droop him?

King's day was no better than several Nahas has has over the last couple of seasons - but he's flavor of the month right now. (I actually thought Nahas was alright yesterday, as well).

Good to see.

Makes up what he lacks in god given talent with hard work and a fighting mentality.

Good to see a player like Jake King get some reward for the obvious hard work he puts in.

Never want to see the game completely taken over with "programmed" athletes.

I think it's great that there is still a place in our game where those with less physical "gifts" can still forge a career with application and tenacity.

Well done Jake, keep up the good work.

ok ive changed my mind on him for now. He is a needed part of the 22 right now. I would like to see if he plays like this when he isnt playing for a career though. But anyway much respect for King atm.

Doesn't get beat in 1v1's, kicking penetration has really improved same with decision making, effort and hardness have always been there.

Becoming a really good player.
