I've seen a couple of names Gardner and Bates mentioned I don't think either are much chance Bates could surprise if given a chance. But he's still struggling to play actually becoming long odds to stay on the list you'd think.
If the injuries are for the timeframe said then it's not too big a a deal as at the moment we have players that can play the roles and it's a better time of year to get injuries. The cockatoo one is a bigger worry both in the type of injury and the fact he was starting to play really well he needs more games to keep developing. Kolo has other key defenders ahead of him at the moment and the time out nor the type of injury shouldn't be much of a concern.

And Bates isn't even playing today. He needs to concentrate on doing enough to stay on the list, not on being upgraded.
The two go hand in hand. If he doesn't at least taste AFL footy he's zero chance of an upgrade.

Murda or Billie.

Not concerned at all.
But that's the point. Hawks lose Hodge, Roughie and the kneecapper and they're good to go. We need to be able to cover a second year talent without busting a sweat. In this new team of ours, just maybe Billie will start to realise his potential.

Murdoch I give you.

Up to 8 weeks. Vardy was out for 'up to 6 weeks' but only missed 2 games.
Cocky had knee ligament surgery- 8 weeks minimum.
Think back to Bartel last year.
LCL similar post op to MCL repairs

Bartel went down like a sack of spuds, didn't play on, and the prognosis after scans was 'at least 2 months out'. Nakia played the game out and the prognosis is 'up to 8 weeks out'.

Are there different grades of LCL injuries or once you undertake surgery is the recovery time about the same?

LCL is a rarer beast, and neither is operated on frequently unless severe.
Rehab post op is equivalent.
