Isn't Kim Hagdorn notoriously very bad at these things?
I would say he gets maybe 1/10,000 right which is why i'm a bit loathe to report it, especially when all the media has been Lever to Melbourne for the past few months.

He did break the Sam Mitchell to West Coast and has been big on Nathan Wilson to Freo for at least the past month. In saying that, he reckons Hogan to Freo is a possibility this trade period, so take the news with a grain of salt. He isn't the only one reporting that though...

Hogan isn't going back to Perth this year, guarantee it.

Thank you.

I'm not getting at anything, it was more just struck a chord reading it at the time, given Melbourne finished 17th.

Dawes, Clark, Sylvia, Pederson, Jamar, Davey strike me as players probably going a fair way to that.
Dawes and Clark the only two on major coin out of that lot.

Sylvia ditched us for 400k a year, obviously was getting less at the Dee's because we got pick 23 as composed for him.

Pedersen was a straight swap for Gysberts who was about to be delisted.

Davey and Jamar both vets on their last legs, yeah they would've been above average salary wise as respect to their contributions over the years but hardly think they'd be over 400k a year.

Might have had 2.5 Million a year spent on those 6 which is a lot but still nowhere near enough to have us highest spenders considering the rest of our list consisted of 1st-3rd year players and Rodan, Brynes, Gillies etc.

Frawley was probably our highest earner apart from Dawes and Clark but doubt we were paying much above the salary floor.

But you're happy to go with industry sources when it's linking you with Lever?
There's a difference between 'industry sources' and a particular club being thrown around. The same 'industry sources' can't even pin down which WA club is actually going to throw the massive contract at him according to Barrett.

Yeah it's not that kind of money. It's a tad less than $750k.

I have no idea what sort of money Adelaide is offering, but at a guess I'd say between $600-650k
Doesn't make sense Lever would leave a premiership contending team for less than $100k per year.

The same 'industry sources' were saying Lever to Essendon this morning and have also indicated St Kilda who do have the trade currency and salary to satisfy Adelaide, unlike Melbourne. Industry sources have also indicated he'll remain a Crow and they're waiting until after the GF to finalise the details.
