Soligo seems to be really good when going low or falling and being able to get a controlled handball off, even when he is on the ground on hands and knees, he seems to hit a target. Great poise and is a clever player. He has the traits to end up an A grade mid if he is not already there and that is a bonus considering where we drafted him and who else we have been able to put around him.
And Zac Taylor is similar but behind #4

Sloane comparisons are interesting.

Soligo is far cleaner and has far more tricks in his kit bag. He is tough but Sloane probably has him covered there.

The beauty with Soligo, is teams will tag Rankine and Dawson before they tag him. Although he could be the one to tag as his influence is huge. Even the commentators in that clip glossed over just how good some of those plays were.
Definitely more creative with ball in hand than Sloane and quicker in the first 20m (gut run and courage is on par with Sloane), always said he is a shorter Pendlebury who can kick on both feet.

His low centre of gravity is phenomenal and work below his knees and vision are elite.

I always thought he would be a solid B grader and was happy with that result, however this guy is a dead set A grade mid for the next 8-10 years
