Dawson is 192cm tall and has multiple weapons.

Soligo is on the smaller side at 179cm and needs speed to came up for his lack of height.

They are not comparable.

Probably a case of us not being able to use Soligo effectively.

I dont think this guy has downsides. Hes just run out of steam two years in a row now.

Perhaps needs to be managed next year or try something different in terms of his fitness. His best is very good

Not the first young player to get overawed in their first finals series. Remember Rayner in 2019 when they went out in straight sets after shooting up from 15th to 2nd?

He’s shown A grade qualities across multiple weeks in a season and was important in setting us up to finish 1st this year. Just like Rayner, he will be better for the finals experience and respond when the next opportunity comes.

Dowling would play the HF role a lot better than Soligo is currently playing it.

Dowling would play the HF role a lot better than Soligo is currently playing it.

Soligo is currently 4th for scoreboard impact, so he's hardly playing poorly. This is just a grin and bear it kind of deal, as he will work it out (equally, I imagine with the heart issues, this is one which is only solved by playing and rebuilding confidence).

Dowling is just a delist and move on kind of deal right now with how deep in the depth chart he is. Absolutely no point in either the short or long term to giving him a go. We've made our call there.
