thanks for the feedback guys ! I am really excited about Prudden also TBH ! Also excited about Stringer and Hrovat also !

I really hope Coon Dog 's knee operation works as it would be awesome having him fit and firing and back to his brilliant quick best this season.
Its funny everyone is excited about Stringer (for obvious reasons) and Hrovat and then a lot of people are excited about Prudden but we really don't hear that much on Macrae (not directing this at you by the way, just this board in general) personally I'm most excited by Macrae and think he might be the best of our picks! I'm just so excited to watch him :D

I'm very excited about Macrae, it's just that he's probably much more long-term than the others. Focusing on the other three as they're likely to get a few games early this year is all. :p

Yeah thats true, 11 days holy shit, I wish I could just freeze myself until then!!! Which draftees do you think will play? I wouldn't be surprised if all 4 played in at least one game, we have already heard that Stringer and Macrae will most likely be tested, then we all know Hrovat is the most advanced of our draftees and you'd think he would be a definite providing his injury isn't too bad (if it exists at all) and then lately we have heard some pretty impressive things about Prudden and how he is coming along so you'd think he would at least get a half.

The club has set a target of 5/6 games for Stringer this year. It's ALL about strengthening his ankle/leg and getting his body right. No corners will be cut here so don't expect to see to much of him this year.
Might want to overlook him for supercoach etc... as he just won't get the game time.
Macrae and Hrovat are the young dogs to expect games from.

Is he really that light framed?

188cms/76 kilos on the dogs website. So skinny, but not skeletal.

Reports are that he has gained six kilos already, so don't know if that 76 is including that or he's really now 82 kilos (82 kilos would be close to perfect for his height).

You missed the joke :p

At 191cm, Stringer is a big-bodied forward who takes contested marks and can push up through the midfield. Has a fierce appetite for the contest, rarely gets beaten and showed he can tackle and defend as a forward. A leg fracture limited his game time in 2011 but a solid showing for Bendigo Pioneers and Bendigo Gold this season indicated he is still capable of producing his best football. His nine goal haul in the opening round of TAC Cup was a highlight.

Stringer was selected by the Western Bulldogs with their first pick (No. 5 overall) in the 2012 AFL Draft.

Anyone have much inside word atm on how the club sees his progress? Does he look like getting much match time this year?

I would love him to play over 10 games. It would make my year if he has a great debut season.

they want him as a 10 year player, so probably around 10-15 games played depending on his leg.

Christ, he couldn't be more of a bogan if he tried.

But, looking forward to him smashing pricks and kicking goals for the next 10 years
Sounds a bit ockerish, but seems really down to earth for a guy who has come with a lot of hype.

Can't remember this much hype about one of our picks since Cooney.
