I thought he would struggle with a poor fitness base, but he proved me wrong. Scary how good he can become when they get a few good pre seasons in to him. I just love his confidence. Twice he went back after a mark and took on the responsibility to kick the goal himself. It's great to see.

My only worry with him getting games early on is injury.

I think you are spot on with Smith - he might find himself playing forward of the centre more often. Hopefully Smith and Macrae will get a little more composure in front of goal with more exposure up forward.

Absolutely. Because there is no way we can play combinations of Smith, Boyd, Libba, Wallis and Lower in the center of the ground at the same time.

A small forward position is Smiths for the taking. His aggression makes a nice foil for Dal slipperiness.
