Its gotta happen this year imo

The kid is a jet and to make AA in his 3rd season would be amazing.

Half forward flank imo is where he fits in

49 goals so far and will probably end up with around 55 for the year!!

He's the third tall with Kennedy taking the FF spot and Walker/Cameron fighting for CHF. In the pocket is where he will find himself. Gets 5 more goals for the season and he should be a lock. Great season from Jake. True champion in the making and I think by his careers end we will have a new club goalkicking record holder.

Jake Stringer has had a great year, but you would think
JJ Kennedy is a lock, Chad Wingard is a lock and then there
is Rioli, Betts, Breust, Gunston, Tex and the plethora of
high half forwards come mid rotations.

Easton Wood is probably our best All Australian prospect.

Jake is ahead of all 3 of Cyril/Bruest/Gunston

Kicked 14 more goals than cyril in the same number of games
4 more than bruest with 1 less game.
5 more than Gunston with one less game.

AA forward line should be

Gray, Walker, Wingard,
Betts, Kennedy, Stringer

I don't think he'll get there. He's been in All-Australian form recently. But until that period I feel like he was a rung behind Wingard, Bruest etc. Until recently all he did was kick (often freakish!) goals. But he's becoming a more complete player now - with more defence and more setting up others.

I'm pretty confident he'll be AA soon. But I don't think this year is the year.

As i said he has had a great year, but they do have a habit of putting
extra mids on the flanks like Gray and Danger and the like. I think Wood
has owned his position and is a certainty, but it's just an opinion.

Jake has been in great form since the bye, averaging about 3 goals per game and just as importantly becoming a general headache for oppositions whenever he is in the play, because of his strength and creativity. Before the bye he was good but only averaged about 2 goals per game, so if the AA selectors are heavily influenced by later season form then he's a very strong chance. If they look at it across the season he would be about a 50/50 chance IMO.

Intriguingly the converse is true of Easton Wood. His form before the bye was unquestionably AA standard but in he has not been as strong and influential on a consistent basis since then. So if selectors look at the whole season he is a pretty good chance of AA selection. If heavily influenced by late season form he could miss out.

He's a lock for the squad.

For the team? Well it depends. Earlier in the year he was good, but not outstanding. Lately he's been absolutely amazing, and proved on the weekend it's not just against the easybeats.

What could we expect from Stringer next season? Imagine him with another season under his belt he'll be a monster forward

He'd probably start to be more into the midfield. Wonder how that will effect his tally even with a majority forward.

65+ goals. Not even kidding this kid will be top 3 in the coleman next season.

Needs to increase marks and possessions (needs to increase that mark number to at least 5 - combination of fitness and strength). Kicks straight like he is currently and he will smash that number.

Welp Jake just added the one thing missing from his game Contested Marking. He is already a Gun and now he will only get better, what a great season looking at 50 goals, kicks 1 or 2 a week that are just freaky. God i love him, my next jumper Purchase will have a 9 on it i think.

Stringer will be the next 100 goal kicker in the afl, in a few years as his fitness improves I don't see how you could stop him. Is there a defender who will match up well on him?

His impact when the ball is in the 50 reminds me of Buddy. Every time when playing the Hawks/Swans, when Buddy goes near the ball I think, "oh Sh*t, Here's a goal". Its great to have a player of that caliber on our side, especially one still improving.

Now every time Stringer goes near the ball I think "You beauty, Here's a goal!"

Reminds me much more of G Ablett Snr.

In fact, he might even be calling Jesse by his correct name

I found this picture in the West Australian mildly amusing, Funny as Jake is pictured above him spelt with his correct name but Redpath wasn't so lucky

Apologies for the severe lack of pixels on my phones camera.

You can see the defenders crapping themselves as well when the ball comes to him. And even on the rare occasions Jakey muffs it he usually gets it back for another chance!
